...stuck on even when i took the key out it still was running.I replaced the starter and naw it wont turn over.I can jump the starter and get it running that way but why wont the key work.So please help ...

Solenoid's pinion gear is stuck. Have someone hit (not too hard) the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging a stuck pinion gear. ·Make a simple test of the alternator

Solenoid's bendix gear is stuck. Have someone hit (not too hard) the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging a stuck bendix gear. Make a simple test of the alternator:
