shift out of park all of a sudden . Brake is depressed and i press on shifter knob and i can here the pass system clicking in the ignition but it will not come out of park unless i use the unlock slot

shift wont release from park position what can i do If your shifter knob has not been damaged and is still connected properly, the cause is most likely the "brake shift interlock"...besides the dealer
