The key wont unlock the door I have a 2001 Range Rover and it wont lock using the key and therefor I can't synchronize the handset. it looks like the the latch assymbly.

going out, it definitely needed more time raise the rover. I just left in the gear in park until it raised to the correct setting. If still takes to long, better take it back to installer. Good Luck!!
