ps3 fan will make a loud noice, try cleaning it with a DAMP cloth, not wet as you dont want to break it, try blowing into the fan as well, also clean the whole ps3 and the surrounding area so its dust

c_er !!!! Try moving your PS3 on a cooler spot, the fan automatically adjusts depending on the internal temperature of your console, if you hear it blowing hard, that means its heating up internally..
