...are it is kinda melted Replace the light socket. you can get them at your auto parts store. Get some heat shrink tube at the same time. It seals better than tape on the joints. Hope this

heat shrink tubing over the wire,add wire, any colorbut the same wire size or gauge & solder them & then heat shrinkIf only the plastic is chewed & no copper wire ,then seal with clearnail
