transmission and wont stay in low range 4wd keeps popping forward out of gear. check iff its an adjusteble chifter.if not you have to replace the cabble, check also transmission fluid level is correct

...Why did it lose third gear? It will take off in drive but have to manually change to 2nd put it back to drive and it just revs and goes nowhere. Because it's a 91 and needs the transmission
