then lens is dirty or tired so try using a cleaning cd(has little brushes on it). If it doesn't read with the original cd try using the cleaning cd and if no go then look at purchasing a new cd player

CD , try a different CD and preferably original CD and see if it reads it then. If the CD player works ok then, you had bad CD and if it should read error again then the CD player it self is defective
