no power misfire in #3 cyl diagnosed,replaced wires and plugs.still running rough,coded misfire again,replaced coil,still running rough,no power.very rich smelling from exhaust,and hear sound from cat

misfire its an automatic,4 wheel drive,213k miles,maintence kept up.it starts hard, engine shakes a bit,hesitates when shifting from 1st -2nd gear.i was told it could be aspark plug. could this be it?
