Sony camcorder DCR-TRV22E software

Hi I have unfortunately lost my CD with software for the above camcorder. I need to run it on a mac. I telephoned Sony who requested £31 for a new CD!! Could anyone please direct me to a site or elsewhere where I could download the software? Or possibly someone has same disk? I could post out a blank CD?! Please help.

The last time I looked at this, the software was bundled with cameras during a promotion and is not free. I can't share the copy I have because its not free and would be a violation of the agreement. Why not install the drivers and use some other software?

Hi,

The DCR-TRV22E Camcorder can be connected to the Macintosh Computer with the i.LINK (Firewire) cable. The Software supplied with the Camcorder is not compatible with the Macintosh Computer. Instead you've to use the Firewire cable for connecting the Camcorder to the Computer. You can use the iMovie Software for transferring the videos. You do not require any drivers from Sony, to transfer the video via i.LINK.
You require to purchase either a 4 - pin to 4 - pin or a 4 - pin to 6 - pin i.LINK / Firewire cable depending on the number of pins on the i.LINK / Firewire port of your computer (since Camcorder will have only 4PIN i-LINK, while the Computer may have a 4PIN or 6 PIN i.LINK port).

I have a Sony DCR-TRV22E which worked well with my Mac OS10.4, (tiger) but won't talk to my iMac 10.6 (Snow leopard). Can I update any drivers? Many ta's Deb
