When I try to scan for channels on pinnacle tv center pro version 4.9 it freezes at the end of the scan & never finishes.

Hello, I suppose you used the factory software suite. For my Pinnacle card it didn't work. Besides the obvious remove/uninstall reboot and try again method I recommend you try a third party application such as Honestech TV Plus Gold. It has a free trial so it is a good way to check whether it is a software problem or other installation issue.

The Liquid Edition version 6.1 update is only applicable to qualified owners of version 6 of Liquid Edition and Liquid Edition PRO.
This update is very large coming in at 631 MB. Pinnacle has made a version 6.1 update CD available for purchase at a nominal fee on the eStore from this link. If you do not have a broadband connection, Pinnacle strongly recommends that you do not attempt to download this file. If you are having problems downloading the file please try using a Download Manager. You can obtain a free download manager from this link.

Installation: Once the file has downloaded, please double click on the file. This is a self extracting zip file. This will extract its self into the specified folder. Once this process has finished, please browse to the location specified and open the folder setup. In here you will find most of the files. Double click on Liquid.Setup.EXE to start the install.

It would be recommended that you install this update into a new directory as to not cause any problems with the current install.
NOTE: Some systems may not show file exentions so the file name will only be Liquid.Setup. Also Projects can not go back to version 6.0 once opened in Version 6.1

Download To save a file on your hard disk, just right click on the link and select "Save Target As"

Updating the Channel List Automatically You can update the channel list when the broadcaster adds new Services or if you move the TV to a new location.

1. Press the MENU button to display the menu. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "Digital Menu", then press the ENTER button.

2. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "Channel", then press the ENTER button.

3. Press the ENTER button again, to select "Country".

4. Select the appropriate country by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button. Press the ENTER button to confirm your choice. Even though you have changed the country setting in this menu, the country setting for Analogue TV is not changed. (Refer to page 11 of the user guide)

5. Press the ▲ or ▼ button again, to select "Auto Store". Press the ENTER button. When it has finished, the number of scanned services will be displayed. The existing favourite channel list will not be deleted when the channel list is updated. To stop the scan before it has finished, press the ENTER button with "STOP" selected.

6. Press the EXIT button to exit. If the signal status is poor, the "No Service found! Check the aerial connection" message is displayed. Check the aerial connection and the try the procedure again.

If the channel and other icons are greyed out and you cannot tune the channels press the TV/DTV button on the remote control unit so that the icon is visible again and not greyed out. This will allow you to tune the TV.

First, get the installation CD. If not having, then download one or buy from vendor. Now uninstall the existing software. Reboot ur computer. Then reinstall. There u will find all options.

Take it back to where you bought the item. Most cable companies provide a box for HD TV you can't by pass unless yop have the software. Someone is misleading you. Call them back and get the tech's name, if he can't help you ask for thier legal dept. Ask the since in 4 tries TECH SUPPORT can't or won't help, is this a training problem or false advertising? Please always get the name of the persom or badge or some sort of ID. I am not telling to legally pursue this, that's up to you. I'm telling you to try the card, before playing it., or partner--throw in the hans d and take it back!
