Hi I have a Denon DN-S1200 with a system error on it. I can play CD's and pause and cue but the message won't go away. Oh dear, what can the matter be, can you help?

The lazer is not reading the disc, It is shot.

The cd transport is up the swanny (broken , kaput).
take it to your nearest registered denon repair/service centre

try a cd-r writable disc,some cheep disc won't work with a high def recorder

Try changing the platter speed from 33rpm to 45 rpm The menu for this should be in the preset section on the player.... Good Luck

Sounds like it may need a motor calibration. You would have to seek out an authorized service center to this adjustment done. It's a quick and easy fix though.
