From what you have described, it sounds like the drip pan under the unit is full of water. This can be caused by the unit not being installed properly in the window. It must have 1/4' to 1/2" downward tilt at the rear. This allows the water in the drip pan, to flow to the rear and drain away thru the drain hole. Also, the drain hole may be clogged and needs to be cleared. The drain hole can be a challenge to find sometimes, as the clog can blend in with the hole. Be patient and persistent when looking for the drain hole. A pipe cleaner can be used to clear it.

I hope this helps and thanks for choosing FixYa.

M6X08F2A Air Conditioner problems not blowing cold, not cooling off apartment

Sounds like the heater is on as well. Even if ac is not working it shouldn't get hotter than outside air temp. Possible stuck relay.

Air conditioner isn't blowing cold air like it should

Hello, usually this can be caused by either a dirty filter, evaporator coil or low refrigerant charge.

Why is this blowing hot air out the back when the cold a comes out the front

The hot air is heat from the cooling compressor, while it's in operation. It's normal and should not be of concern, as long as the unit is cooling as it should and the host air is being exhausted out the flexible hose to the window.

Rudd air conditioner isn't cooling, blowing ,but isn't cooling my house because air is not cold

Hello, first check if the outside unit is running, if it is then check filter to make sure it is clean and that the blower wheel is clean and not dirty. If the unit is clean then most likely you have a low refrigerant charge due to a leak and will need a hvac tech to come out and fix the leak.

Air conditioner isn't blowing cold! Fan works okay but air isn't cool. Can hear hissing sound that sounds like normal compressor function. Do I need a coolant recharge?

You will need the condenser coils repaired before you can charge it. These come from the factory sealed and they should not ever need a charge unless you have a leak. The hissing sound is more likely air in the system being pumped by the comressor and it is coming out a hole in the coils.

My LG air conditioner does not blow air. The compressor starts properly (owing to the noise it makes)

There may be something in the fan or could have the bearings worn in the motor. If you're careful you can turn the unit to the off position, take the plastic front off, reach in thru where the air blows out and try to give the fan blower a spin and see if it is free. If it isn't, try to find whats holding it. If it is, the bearings are worn and you'll have to have a new motor.

Air conditioner not cooling

Most likely cause is you have lost your coolant/ freon
These low end unit are generally not worth recharging you can buy a new one for less than a tech will charge you to fix it
