I am running Windows 7 professional ver 6.1.7600 build 7600. I am trying to install Nortel i2050 softphone software and it requires to be configured by the configuration tool. The problem is the configuration tool is not loading so I cannot progress further. Any help would be much appreciated Thank you

The software that you have acquired will have a minimum system requirement to run.... this is common to all software and computer equipment.
Perform a web search for the minimum requirements for the software to run...put the name in google or bing and write minimum requirements or system requirements next to it.
It might be that windows 7 is too new or too old
It might be that it only runs on mac or linux OSs

you needed to download window 7 activator from http://cnet.in/ download and run the window loader file and choose your PC brand and then install it... it will run in background... after few seconds the PC will ask you to restart the computer press OK and enjoy your window 7 activated

my i ask you say you are trying to login to the phone why?
when you say you but them on to a new tn did you put both ext back on the same tn

The software and indeed the xl-6000 will not work with a 64bit system.I had the same problem.I bought a used laptop 32bit and windows xp and it works perfectly.You can get a serial/usb adapter to use with newer pc that doesn't have serial port,but you still need 32bit system.

you can downgrade to an earlier version that doesn't require a liscense. you probably know that.Try upgrading to the latest (3.02.0045) version.

Check your firewall settings. Make sure you can pass voice traffic. Can you Skype?
