My saeco majic comfort plus is very slow brewing the coffee. It only comes out drip, drip. It normally would brew in 30 seconds. Now it takes 1-2 minutes. How can I fix this?

Take the brew unit out when the machine is off and cold. With your finger, check the well next to the large gear on the inside of the machine. This is the gear that fits in the back of the brew unit when it is in place. That well may be clogged with fine coffee grounds and some mildew build up. You might notice that after brewing, very little water will has been flowing into the drip tray. Take a Q-tip and push it through the hole at the bottom of the well to remove the coffee ground buildup. The excess water after brewing will flow through normally now and not behind the brew unit.
Hi Sounds like your thumbscrew is getting stripped. Its the same for all the older machines. http://www.fixya.com/support/t2927107-lttle_filter_disk_plastic_rod
If its only partially stripped it slips up and allows the water to enter the brew head pocket where the thumbscrew is and the spill over into the dredge drawer. Check the brew head for water.
Hi When you push the water button, how is the flow? If it is OK its not your boiler. What happens when you press the pre-ground button but don't put any coffee in. If it brews correctly( not slow) your grind is too fine. Just push the lever below the bean hopper back 2 clicks. If you are still brewing slow you may have a plug of coffee in your brew head. A pinch of automatic dish washing detergent in the brew unit funnel, then push the pre-ground button again. This can break up the clog and allow a normal brew. You don't want to use vinegar in your machine. It leaves a taste for a while. Citric acid is what you want.
HI Excess water into the drip tray is an indication that you don't have enough coffee going into the brew unit. There is a lever on the top of the door that has a + on one side and a - to the front. Push the lever back to the full plus, then pull it forward 1 click. Try that. Water into the drip tray is normal in small amounts. This is the release of pressure after brewing, like the 3 way valve on commercial machines
