Hello, so the image intensifier tube light up. Shake it and listen for parts raddle around inside.
How long have you own this Night Owl? Have you been using night vision on bright lights?
If you have the intensifier tube is gone back to the Red Star....it died! The IR operates on a different switch than the controler, ccfl inverter, multiplier, image tube. Sorry. stewbison

There is good bet that I have a tube for this, but it not worth sending to me. Also, maybe it not the image intensifier tube but something else in the electronic.............Made in Russia--Red Star

Binoculars power on, then immediately off NIGHT OWL OPTICS NIGHT VISION BINOCULARS NOXB5

Hello there. Are you pointing your NV binoculars at bright light, if so, please stop. Therefore, if you are not then possibly the iit (image intensifier tube) is bad, or the auto shut-off is also shorted. Night Owl Optics are in El Paso, TX. Call Night Owl up, they won't tell how to fix it. But they will tell where to send it. "It is proporitary" which mean, they are the one to fix it. Sorry, stewbison.

Hello, Kalinka Baigish is Russian and they do make NV devises but China? Now, the Chinese do manufacture NV Image Intensfier tubes to Generation 2 but manufacture the hole night vision devise is new to me. Of course, about 1/3 of the world countries manufacture some sort of night vision devises or there parts.

Contact Night Vision Optics they sell these Russian night vision devise under the brand name: Night Vision Optic and they have a logo. There are only companies in the US that manufacture night vision stuff. Also, some of the US companies do use US image tubes and other electronic components, and maybe US optics are used. Lights come on but you cannot see through it

Hello, it seems another Russian manufactured night vision monocular has died. Sorry to say, but the image intensifier tube is bad. I really doubt that Night Owl Optics in El Paso, Texas will fix it for you. Because of it age of 5+ years old. Hint: auction it on eBay as night vision monocular parts. Sorry. I would fix it for you but the last one I fixed, it took me two months to find image intensifier tube and it was used. I wish you all the luck. GB...stewbison

PVS14 will not power up. You can see the IR light up, but the night vision itself will not come on.

Hello, it could just three thing wrong here; no battery power to oscillator and voltage multiplier or the image intensifier is bad. You can test the oscillator and voltage multiplier by powering it up with 3 volt battery and touch the output end with your finger. You'll get a little shock, but they is very little current, especially in the micr-amps region.

You'll need to send the tube to two distributor of ITT Litton image tubes, Morrison Optic Co, and the other ????? can remember. GB....stewibison

It turns on but when you look thru the lens it is black. You don't see anything.

Hello, These Russian manufactured night vision devises are cheap. The image intensifier tube has gone south, it finny, flip out, dead. Because these night vision defisve are sold by many different US companies they don't have parts for them. You buy it, and when goes, you throw it away. Sent to me for recycling, there really not much to recycle. Sorry, GB...stewbison
