The software is already on your computer - check the settings in the properties. If you are unsure how to use these settings, there is ample "help" available by simply clicking the button.

When you lock this up ... you will be putting a password on it. If you forget the password, you will no longer have access to your hard disk - you need to fully understand this before you go on. If you are not sure, DONT DO IT.

The easiest way to secure your external drive from others is to disconnect it from your computer.

How can I format my Sony vaio laptop vgn-nw13gh with my recovery disk please show me the steps

You will need a FULL WinXP system disk (asume your system is Win) either buy a new XP CD (i doubt you will get it)
but.....
to get a pirated WinXP system disk click the foll link....before that downlaod a software called UTorrent or BitTottent....google it
the foll link will downlaod the link file of Torrent and that will help you download the full version.....believe me this works....700MB ISO file...burn on CD/DVd using any CD burner software like Nero....

http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3493182
once you download the full OS from piratebay...make a CD/DVD from the ISO image file that is obtained from piratebay....boot you system using that CD....BIOS in your system must be reset to boot from CD as the 1st boot seq in BIOS....

recovery disk will not work....

I have Seagate 200GB HDD "ST3200820AS ATA" I have very slow data transfer now a days.I use licensed antivirus scanned my all drves cleaned few spyware's now everything is clean but still slows.I have tried...

only a low level format can fix the issue...
save all data from this drive to a new drive,
use an application called KILLDISK
download from my shared drive...
the application that u will downlaod is a auto boot and dos utility...use any burning software to burn a CD using the "ISO-burner" in the downloaded file.....
u need to boot the PC using this disk in the CD drive, so change the boot seq in bios to CD as 1st boot drive
use a new empty CD to make this system disk, read the "Read me first file there" and then wipe ur disk clean with the DOS utility of KILLDISK
this will make ut disk as good as new...
