Very strange...
On "small" the water level fills just fine and I can do a load of laundry but, on med or high, it only gets to a certan lavel and then it starts to drain. If I turn the machine off, all of the water simply drains out of the drain hose. It is as if there is a valve stuck open but, I don't know where to begin to look...
If it helps, the drain hose was kinked and that did stop the water from draining properly just before this happened...If it helps, the drain hose was kinked and that did stop the water from draining properly just before this happened...
I think the water is syphoning. if drain hose is pushed into a stand pipe, then you have it pushed too far down. otherwise, take the drain hose up in a swan neck at least to the level of the worktop

Power was never the issue or it wouldn't have filled at all. Also the pressure switch that detects water level must be okay since it stopped filling at the proper level. That leaves the control board or a relay that the control board uses to start the drum motor.
Possible fault with the water level sensor, since this is a new machineit is best to refer to delearship before you do it yourself as this is under warranty.
If you have to shut the water off at the tap and the washer agitates then you need a new fill valve . If it shuts the water off when you push the stop button or unplug the washer then the level switch is bad or the hose from the tub to the level switch is obstructed,
r u using auto fill mode?if u r then try selecting high medium or low. check water pressure coming out of inlet hose, could b faulty valve not letting enough pressure thru.please reply if u need more help
Sounds like your problem is one of three things. Most common is that you have to "reset" the water level. This is done by turning the water level knob passed the large load size, and then down to small. Any time you want to go to a smaller sized load, you have to do this. Another possibility is that the pressure switch is bad, this is an easy fix (although not as easy as the reset) The switch can be purchased thru a local parts supply house. And the last thing could be a bad water valve. This will leak and continue to fill the washer after it is already full, this however is usually followed with water all over the floor. If it is not the reset, write me back and I'll walk you thru the other repairs. Hope this helps!
Hi, If you turn the water source valve on and water starts filling the machine even tho the machine is off, change the inlet valve. If you have to start the machine so water will fill but, the water does not shut off at the desired level, there is a problem with the water level switch. I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
i assume washer never starts running if not suspect water level switch or connection hose also be sure small hose to switch is not plugged or mashed flat even a small hole in hose may cause it not to get pressure to tell switch drum is full ..if washer does start running suspect bad water valve may not be shutting off
check the pressure line from the tub to the water level switch and make sure that it does not have a hole or crack in it if the hose is ok then the water level switch is bad
Kenmore
remove edge decore trims from left and right side front of control panel
remove phillips screws from bottom corners of contol panel
remove knob from water level selector
raise control panel ~1 inch then flip over backwords on pivots
depress lock tab on righ/underside of water level control body where it touches metal mount plate
rotate water level control body 90deg anticolckwise
pull body off
top side of body next to knob shaft is 1/8 hex head bolt
turn clockwise to rais water level
anticlockwise to lower water level
machine can be operated with this part not fitted so can check level. fill, adjust screw, fill will start again, adjust screw, until water level is correct
reinstall in reverse order
If it helps, the drain hose was kinked and that did stop the water from draining properly just before this happened...
That worked!!!!
I would have felt pretty stupid calling a repair guy....
