Blackberry Curve 8310 LCD Screen won't turn on

My Blackberry 8310 Curve lcd screen won't turn on. The phone receives calls and messages and interacts with Blackberry Software but you can't see anything because the screen doesn't light up. I tried removing and returning the battery. Any ideas?

I have this too. Seems like the screen died.

I am having the same issue. I put the phone on stand-by one night, and during the night I received a call but the screen was all white. The next morning when I woke up, I could not see anything on the screen. In spite of this the phone would vibrate whenever a message was received.

Same problem. Screen completely white (blank). I can take screenhots from the PC from JLCmder and they are okay, but the LCD screen does not work. The Phone was NEW (turned od for the first time 5 minutes before)!!! I was on the screen where you can choose the fonts, and I left the phone on the desk for two minutes... when I took it in my hand again, it was completely white.
Using the screenshots, I was able to execute a Wipe... but it did not solve the problem.. :-(

I had same problem with my BB 8310. I thought it had to do with OS upgrades that I do every other day. Later i thought it was because i dropped it a couple of times.

I searched on internet and some people said that they have fixed it by cleaning the camera lens. I also did it with a wet piece of cotton (by the way there was a lot of dust on lens). Lens became clean but the problem remained.

I was sitting in my office looking sadly at my BB a few minutes ago, wondering whether i need to send it back for an exchange (which i dont want to do because of the time it takes) or whether i should sell it out. I realized that despite cleaning with wet cotton the lens still had some dust on it. I cleaned it by making a tip of my tie...LO AND BEHOLD.....my camera is working perfectly now....I recommend using your tie to clean the lens...I guarantee it will solve the problem....LOLZ

I droped my blackberry and now the screen is white.

Possible that the LCD is damaged. All what can be done is to remove battery for a while and reset. If the phone boots up to a white screen then it is possible that the motherboard or the LCD is cracked.

Blackberry 8320 lcd screen has lines. can not see the right side

Sounds like you have a broken LCD screen. Go to your carrier, they might replace the phone for you altogether for free or at a discounted rate. If they refuse, the only way to get it up and running again is to open your blackberry2_bing.gif to physically replace the LCD. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to Blackberry Repair. If you want to do it yourself, here is a Blackberry curve Repair Guide that shows how, the part is available on Ebay.

When you put the plastic screen on make sure that the plastic and the screen on the phone are absolutely clean. If there is any dirt or debris on either the plastic screen will not sit directly on the phone and bubble up where there is residue.

Dust under screen

You would need to disassemble to the device to get to the LCD screen.
