Have a kenmore side by side I believe a kitchenaid model. Freezer is working fine, refridgerator won't cool below 50 degrees. Had ice build up in air return and thawed that still not working properly 2 days later.

Refirdgerator won't cool proprely on refridgerator side

Hi SN,

This could be a couple of things, but you should check for evaporator icing, even though you said the freezer is working and the defrost control appears to be ok. If the evaporator is iced up, no air willl flow into the fridge section even if the fan is running.

You can also check the damper control board. I am sending you a link that shows a complete breakdown of your appliance. I do not work for this company nor am I affiliated with them in any way. They also have a troubleshooting section and contact information. See:

I have a Kitchenaid S x S KSCS25INSS00 refrig/freezer. We lost power for 30 hours, it worked fine before the outage, now it won't cool the fridge below 48 degrees, or the freezer below 43 degrees. ...

Try replacing the circulating fan first. If it's not turning, it's more than likely bad. However, the fan might not be your only problem. The problem may lie with the icemaker. The icemaker is essentially the brain of the unit. It tells when to cool, when to defrost and when to maintain temp. Your icemaker may be stuck in defrost mode.

Refrigerator temp not going below 50 degrees

You have one of two different problems. Either the fan in the freezer side is not running/working or you have a defrost problem. Check on the freezer side to see if you can hear the fan running, and if it is, look on the back freezer wall for a build up of ice. If you have that, one of the components of the defrost system (timer, defrost thermostat or defrost heater) is bad. List your brand so I can be more specific.

KitchenAid Refridgerator won't get cool - freezer works great - Ice maker won't run either. What's up? Also, the model wasn't listed below - it is a KitchenAid with Freezer on top/ fridge below.

when this happens in a side by side, the first thing i look for is frost on the back wall op fht e freezer, if its there, your not geting proper air circulation
unplug the machine for 24 hours this will clear the ice
\check your freezer fan for proper ops, if its working you may need service to determine whats wrong with your defrost

Freezer cools to 10 degrees, refrigerator cools to 50 degrees

check if the fan is working and you are circulating air efficiently. You may check on the coils at the freezer if there are ice formation. I would suggest to have the ice melted by unplugging it and ensuring that all parts are ice free. Clean the unit while at it.
