Less than a week ago we installed our Frigidaire FRA256ST2 25000 BTU ThruWallWindow Air Conditioner This morning it beeped and then shut off. NOTHING on the control panel will work but the green light is on on the cord I have checked the breaker, checked the filter, clicked the test and reset button on the cord, tried the controls and the remote controller but nothing will make it come back on.... Any suggestions?

Bought the Frigidaire 6000 BTU Window Room Air Conditioner LRA067AT7 6 months ago and it worked fine until last week, It will not turn on although plugged in and the wall outlet is good. Is there an auto...

Good Morning Luca,

I understand your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# LRA067AT7, will not turn on. I also see that the wall outlet is good, so you are wondering if there is an automatic shut off if the filter has not been cleaned. Your air conditioner does not have an automatic shut off, if the filter has not been cleaned. Please start by cleaning the filter. You can do this easily with the following instructions:
The air filter should be checked at least once a month to see if cleaning is necessary. Trapped particles in the filter can build up and cause an accumulation of frost on the cooling coils.

1)Push the vent handle to the Vent Closed position (where applicable).
    2)Open the front panel.
3)Grasp the filter by the center and pull up and out.
4)Wash the filter using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse filter thoroughly. Gently shake excess water from the filter. Be sure filter is thoroughly dry before replacing
5)Or instead of washing, you may vacuum the filter clean.

Also, be sure your air conditioner is properly grounded. To minimize shock and fire hazards, proper grounding is important. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazards. Your air conditioner must be used in a properly grounded wall receptacle. If the wall receptacle you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle. Do not run your air conditioner without outside protective cover in place. This could result in mechanical damage within your air conditioner. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug.

The power supply cord contains a current device that senses damage to the power cord. To test
your power supply cord do the following:

      1)Plug in your Air Conditioner.
2)The power supply cord will have TWO buttons on the plug head. Press the TEST button. You will notice a click as the RESET button pops out.
3)Press the RESET button. Again you will notice a click as the button engages.
4)The power supply cord is now supplying electricity to the unit. 4)

Why incessant beeping?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FRA124HT2, begins with a constant beeping, and changes the modes itself, about every 30 minutes. I also see that it ends up on a different setting each time it does this. I suggest resetting your air conditioning, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. Bring power back to it and turn it on. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

How to stop my Frigidaire 15,100 BTU from beeping

Hello Naomi - Thank you for your question. When the air conditioner is beeping, it may be a warning sign that the filter needs to be clean or that you need to reset the unit. The LED (light) will illuminate and beep after 250 hours of operation. After cleaning the filter, you may reset the "FILTER RESET" option by simply pressing and holding down the button for approximately twenty seconds and the light/beeping will go off. However, if you have done this, try pressing the "RESET" button on the GFI plug of the unit. Wait approximately 2-3 minutes and then turn on the air conditioner. If issue persists, then at this point I would suggest reaching out to the manufacturer directly to see if you have any limited warranty on the appliance or you may alternatively, visit the manufacturer website for a comprehensive listing of appliance techs in your area.
