Leapfrog Leapster doesn't read cartridges anymore?

My son's Leapfrog Leapster game is only a few weeks old.  All of a sudden when we put a cartridge in, it doesn't read or recognize the cartridge.  It flashes a cartridge picture and question mark.  We've changed the batteries.  Any help you can provide?

Take a look inside your LeapPad and make sure all the contacts inside are sticking up equally. I used a very small screwdriver and straightened up one of the contacts on the far end and now things appear to be working properly.

I turn on my daughter's Leapster 2. I sign in. I click "Cartridge Game". The screen goes black & then It goes back to the "Leapster 2" screen, followed by the "if you...

You have to make sure that your Cartridges is clean. Try to vacum of blow both of the cartridge hole and also the place where you put the cartridge, Sometime very small tiny dirt will makes that the cartridge cannot be recognise by the console.

Instead of 1 starter game and a few demo game that you get from Leapfrog Connect, you can also get more downloadable games for your Leapster 2. You can get it here:

The touchscreen on my son's leapster doesn't work. It's only a month old.

Your leapster needs to be recalibrated. Go to leapfrog.com and they will walk you through the process. Mine did the same thing last week and I just recalibrated it last week. Best wishes!

Batman Leapster Cartridge broken?

Take the cartridge out of the Leapster, blow into the opening with your mouth. Do the same with the Leapster (blow into it). Insert the cartridge and see if that works.
