The camera is operating correctly. The total number of pictures you can store depends on your pictures' content and messages' length. So the number doesn't always change, especially when you're using standard image quality.

Error message showing up is r03

r03 is NOT an error message. It indicates the number of remaining pictures that can be stored in the camera's built-in high speed memory buffer (before the camera will need to send them to the memory card). Each successive picture taken rapidly will decrease this r03 number by 1. Eventually the r01 will be on screen, and after that picture is taken, the camera will not shoot until the memory buffer has been transferred. This may take a few seconds, and then shooting can continue again.

''Cavity Size 30'' message appeared, can't get rid, can't use oven

Had the same message on my display after spilling water on the cooktop. Obviously, the seal (rubber gasket) that prevents liquids getting inside the control area is not very good.

I replaced the Control (p/n: 10181439 / 9761799, 2 numbers, same part) and the flat cable between the touch keypad and the Control (9762781).

After turning the breaker back on, only had the message to set the clock.

You can add memory to your camera by purchasing an xd memory card.
Compatible cards
xD-Picture Card (16MB – 1GB)
There are two ways to record the pictures you take with this camera.
Recording pictures to the internal memory
• Pictures are recorded to the internal memory, and when the number of storable still
pictures reaches 0, you must connect the camera to a computer to download the
pictures, and then erase the pictures from the internal memory.
Using an xD-Picture Card (optional)
• Pictures are recorded to the card when inserted in the camera. When the card is
full, you download the pictures to a computer, and then either erase the pictures
from the card or use a new card.
• Pictures are not recorded to the internal memory when a card is inserted in the
camera. Pictures in the internal memory can be copied to the card using the
[BACKUP] function.

a computer, the message [CARD ERROR] is displayed. To use this card with this
camera, use the [FORMAT] function to format the card.

Pictures Remaining number change after I take a picture

The file size of a picture depends on the resolution you choose and the complexity of the scene. A picture of blue sky has a smaller file size than a picture of autumn leaves. If the Pictures Remaining number does not change when you take a picture, it generally means that the picture does not take up sufficient memory to decrease the number. This is normal. The number is not a count of consecutive pictures; it is counting available space - the approximate number of pictures remaining.
