I have emachine em350 and 2 laptops more dell and LG. i have wifi network in my room which is functioning properly..my LG, and dell laptop can connect to my wifi network and can access by my router..the problem is before my emachine em350 can connect directly to my wifi network. everytime i open it..but this day it will no longer connect automatically and access my wifi router..while my dell and lg still working properly..i already reformat my emachine but still it cant find my wifi network?please help me..thanks

If you use your original Win XP disks, there's a chance you now have XP SP1 (Service Pack 1). Make sure you've made all the necessary Windows Updates as working with WiFi networks was enhanced with XP SP2. Then you can try to find your wireless network and connect to it. If you had a secured network you'll need your previous network key (similar to a password, but without a username, the wireless key is needed to exchange data with the router) If you can't remember the settings on your Linksys you can reset it to factory settings with inserting something into the reset hole to press the hidden buton and holding it for several seconds until lights on the front flash. Then you HAVE to run the initial install procedure (find your CD and Quick Start sheet) because your router will be open and unsecured.

Make sure DHCP is turned off on the modem or else you will get ip conflicts. Also make sure it is plugged into the wan port on the router

The lock you see indicates that the network you are trying to connect to requires a password for authentication.

You can access your ipod settings and enter the credentials by following the below steps:

1- First connect to your closed Wi-Fi network
2- Choose Wi-Fi, then tap Other and enter the network name.
3- Choose Security, tap the type of security the network uses, and enter the password.

This should be it.

First check in your laptop wi fi switch is turn on if you have laptop.
Then check in computer that wi fi network adapter driver are installed correctly and enabled .
You can check it in my network places right click on it thne go to proeprty then you see there wi fi network driver then enable it.if disable.
Then you can see search for available networks.
If not works then post here so i give you assistanse for router configuration.
