I have a Samsung sound bar Model HW-D450 which I purchased last week along with a Smart TV and Blu Ray DVD player. I think the thing is possessed. It is not compatible with the TV remote or the Comcast remote. Not a big deal; however, sometimes it will turn off using its own remote and other times it keeps coming back on. The biggest problem is that the sound coming from the sound bar is a couple of seconds behind the sound coming from the TV speakers. Other times no sound at all comes out of it. When I do get sound I have to turn it up to around 15 - 16 to hear it. Am I doing something wrong??

You could try a DVD Cleaning Disc first.

Was the television showing a good picture on Cable or Satellite?

Have you adjusted the subwoofer level? there should be buttons on the remote to adjust this level. Also, make sure you are not in a 'night' surround mode - this drops subwoofer levels a lot

Try out optical tv to in optical in your sound bar it will work.

It passes infrared signals to the TV (via an IR eye/wand) incase the soundbar covers the TV's IR pickup

easiest way would be to connect the optical audio output from the tv to the optical input on the soundbar. You may have to go into the tv's setup menu and enable the audio output jack

your tv has an input and output for audio and video,find the audio output and connect the sound bar!

If no lights at all come on, then the sub is completely dead and probably needs to be replaced.

The Firmware might not be compatible with ur tv.Check the Samsung website for more info.
