Stopped working I need a repair sevice location on long island new york...do not know where fuse is on unit...cannot as suggested turn upside down to find...nothing comes out...am starting to get moldy smell please help

The fuse is located inside the control panel. It is soldered to the circuit board, not mounted in a typical fuse holder. You will need a Philips screwdriver to disassemble the unit. You will need a soldering iron & solder to remove the fuse and replace it. You may want to a multi-meter to check the fuse. If the unit just stopped working, it could be a number of other issues than the fuse. The starter capacitor for the motor could be dead or some other issue. You must take precautions against electrical shock. You may need a technician to safely perform some repairs.

For years I have tried to clean the wires.Mine sometimes sounds like a bug zapper! Anyway, the only solution I have come up with is this.--I take a Very thin cloth(such as an old worn out washcloth) dampen it and carefully holding on to one corner, insert it into open top of unit. I jigglel it up and down. It will help loosen some of the debris on the wires. Also, at times I purposely let it drop inside and shake the unit up and down, then turn it upside down to let it fall closer to the top to get it out.Do this several times, rinsing rag and wringing out well each time.I clean the slats with a thin rag wrapped over a butter knife.All of this is time consuming, but it pays to do it. Iv'e had mine 11 yrs. and they are still working.Just make sure all of the components are completely dry before reconnecting unit.

I believe you have the same problem I have with my quadra. They have a fuse that is located in a very hard to reach area in the lower section of the unit. You have to look very closely to even find it. It's sodered in place place so one can't just change the fuse and turn it back on. Mine is blown and I can't figure out how to remove it. I was wondering if I could just by pass it but that wouldn't be safe.

had the same problem with ionic pro ca500. i took the unit apart and found a fuse that was blown and it works now. sorry but i don't know if there is any repair shops.

After cleaning the unit, replace the grid into the unit. Hold upside down for at least 30 seconds to reset.

Pull the unit out of the box and flip it upside down. You should see it

Take it back. Hopefully it is inder warranty. I have had 2 units do the same.
