The fault is either from the phone or the phone's memory card slot.

Test the memory card on another phone or any other device that uses memory card. If the memor card doesn't work, then it means the memory card is not good. But if the memory card works, it means fault is from the phone.

Get a phone screw driver, disassemble the phone, clean the memory car slot with a tooth brush. This will clear off all particles that maybe preventing the memory card from contacting the phone properly.

The cleaning the memory card slot doesn't help, it means the memory card slot of the phone is defective. It takes only a repairman to fix this fault for you.

Remove the back cover by holding the phone firmly then slide in the back cover of the handset. You will now see your MicroSD and SIM card slots. Take your SIM card and slide it into the slot provided with the chip facing down. You will also see a small diagram showing you which way to insert the SIM card. Now slide open your MicroSD memory card slot gate, pop your MicroSD memory card into the slot, then close the MicroSD memory card slot gate by sliding it forward then backwards.

To repair the memory card slot of your phone, you have to dismantle the phone first and get to the memory card slot or reader that is in the phone, then you replace it with a new one.

It is quite a fragile process therefore i will strongly advice you take proper caution in dismantling the phone.

First, turn off the phone, remove the battery cover, sim, and battery of the phone, get the appropriate screwdriver and unscrew the phone, carefully, remove the parts, then you will see the memory card slot, try to get the replacement parts down before starting the process.

After getting the memory card slot replaced, reverse the process of dismantling for reassembling the phone.

The reason the memory card is not working could be either the memory card is not working or the phone is not reading the memory card.

To test if it is the memory card,

insert the same memory card into another phone to see if the phone reads it.

if it does not read it, then the fault is from the memory card.

all you have to do is to replace the memory card.

To test if it is the phones memory card slot,

install a tested okay memory card into the phone to see if it will read it.

if it does not read it. then it is the phone. it could be a software problem or a hardware problem.

firs flash the phone with the appropriate software to see if it will work, if it does not, then it is the memory card slot.

To change the memory card slot,

follow these steps,

1. First remove the battery cover & battery. Remove the two screws you see.
2. Run your fingernail around the join of the front cover and then remove the front cover.
3. Now remove the four screws you can see.
4. The top part of the phone (PCB and LCD screen) can now be removed from the middle chassis.
5. then you will have access to the memory card slot,
6. remove it and carefully install a new one,
7. reverse the process to reassemble the phone back,
8. test it with a memory card.

The reason the phone is not reading the memory card is either the phones memory card slot is faulty or the memory card is not in good conditions.

To test if it is the phone, try a well tested memory card in the phone to see if it reads it, if it does not then it is the memory card slot.

to solve that, try to open the phone and clean with spirit and drey it with the heat from a bulb, or you can replace the slot.

To test if it is the memory card, try the memory card another phone that the memory card is working fine.

if it does not read the memory card, then the fault is from the memory card, and the solution is simply to replace the memory card.

Make sure the memory card is not above 16GB.

Well, this problem may appear due to your memory slot is dirty. Try this simple solution first:

• Off your phone (IMPORTANT!)
  
• Open your phone back case
  
• Find the memory card slot
• Clean the slot (gold stripes) with a rubber eraser
• Clean the messy
