Our washer will fill with water and drain but will not wash or spin clothes

The washer will fill with water and drain the water (when we manually move the timer) but the tub will not move at all (during the wash or spin cycles).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Peace Friend,
ngfam1 At your service!

Things wear out! So is life!
Sounds like the coupling between the motor and the drum is broken! or the belt!!!
How old is the washer?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

Only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.

Below I referred you to a great service nation wide!

If none of these tasks remedy the problem then here is a good company that's found nation wide.
A&E Factory Service
A&E has schedulers available to take appointments 24/7
And they do warranty work too, for most manufactures!

Washing Machine Problems and Repairs

Washing Machine Problems & Repairs If your clothes washer needs repair, you can begin your troubleshooting here A washing machine is basically a big tub that repeatedly fills with water and then drains, spins to wring clothes dry, and has a device for stirring things up-- either an agitator in the middle of a top-load machine or a rolling drum in the case of a front-loader. The four cycles that every washer performs are fill, wash, drain, and spin.
Though there are a number of problems that you can fix quite simply, washing machines have a variety of devices and controls that, when they go wrong, are better left in the hands of an appliance repairperson.
Some problems that commonly occur with a clothes washer are that it doesn't agitate; doesn't drain; doesn't run; shakes, vibrates, or moves; doesn't spin; the water temperature is wrong; or leaks.
If your washer doesn't run, be sure it's plugged in and that the receptacle works (the circuit hasn't overloaded). Before working on the washing machine, be sure to unplug it.
If it doesn't fill, the water inlet screens may be blocked. Clean or replace them. (Check your owner's manual for the location of the screens; they're often located at one end of the supply hoses, or you may have to remove a panel to access them.) Other reasons for not filling may be that either the timer or temperature selector is broken--both of these are repairs for an appliance repairperson.

If your washer doesn't spin, check to see if the clothes have jammed or are unbalanced in the drum before calling a repairperson. Unbalanced clothes will also cause a washer to shudder or “walk.” If straightening out the load doesn't stop the washer from shaking, look at the feet underneath and be sure they are properly adjusted to keep the washer sitting level on the floor (you just turn them to move them up or down).
To prevent problems, follow good maintenance procedures. Use the right amount of detergent for your washer and your water hardness, make sure the machine is level, and don't overload it for the cycle chosen.
Because washing machine hoses are under constant pressure, check periodically for wear because they can flood your home if they burst when you're away. You can prevent this by installing lever-type shutoff valves (shown top right). With these, you can easily turn off the levers for both hot and cold water between wash days.

Asko w600 front load washer did not spin water out of clothes. I emptied the drain pump and now it fills with water but doesnt wash the clothes. The water drains out but nothing else. Help

Check to see if your model has a "out of balance" micro switch.
If it's tripped from you moving the unit around you may have to reset it manually. It will be mounted somewhere close to the outer perimeter of the tub. Can't say exactly where. Could be high or low.

Washer will not spin at all no code . will drain and tumble back and forth, when it comes time to spin it turns off.

The four cycles that every washer performs are fill, wash, drain, and spin. Though these functions are pretty basic, a number of things can go wrong with them.

Washing Machine Does Not Fill

(Check your owner's manual for the location of the screens; they're often located at one end of the supply hoses, or you may have to remove a panel to access them.) asher to shudder or "walk." If straightening out the load doesn't stop the washer from shaking, look at the feet underneath and be sure they are properly adjusted to keep the washer sitting level on the floor (you just turn them to move them up or down).
Clothes Are Wet After Spin Cycle
If your clothes remain wet after your washer's spin cycle, perform the following diagnostics:
1) Lift the lid during the spin cycle. If the tub is not spinning, you may have a damaged motor coupler. Call a repairperson to replace this part.
2) If the tub is spinning, recheck the load to make sure it is balanced. If you are certain the load is balanced but your clothes are still wet, you may need to call a repairperson to replace a damaged motor pulley, tub bearing, belt, or clutch.

3) You can also follow the troubleshooting steps outlined in "Washing Machine Doesn't Drain." You may have a problem with your drain hose or pump.

My washer does not wash the clothes or go through the spin cycle.

It sound like a belt problem. Try to move tub manually first, in case it move smoothly -open the front panel, the belt should be between the motor and the drive pulley (lower front). In case it torn or not in its place, you should replace it. In case it doesn't move smoothly - maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub and prevent tub's spining. If this is the situation, it should be removed. Good luck !!
