You could try a reset.
Hold both the Home and Power buttons until the iphone begins to start.
It should take about 10 seconds.
It this does not work, your battery may be low.
Connect charger and try reset again.

Hi! (: i'm not sure if this will work, but when my ipod did this, I left it in a cup of rice for a few hours, then I left it charging for a while until it turned on and showed the home screen. If this doesnt work, try calling apples technicians on their website! They can help sometimes.. [Also, yahoo answers might have a better solution] Good luck!
You may want to try resetting the phone by holding the home and power button simultaneously until the phone shuts down and the apple logo appears. If that doesn't help, connect it to your computer and do a restore using iTunes.
From your description, I think what you're saying is that the touch screen is misbehaving; sometimes it doesn't respond to your touches the way you expect, and sometimes it's as if someone touched it even when you don't. You also said that re-calibrating it didn't help. Do I have that right?
That would mean your screen either needs to be repaired (could be a bad connection between the screen and the circuit board) or replaced. Replacement screens are available. The repair or replacement can be done at home if you are reasonably handy with tools. Search my other posts about screens for detailed instructions. Or, if you think you're not up to it, send it out for repair.
See the instructions below how to factory reset your LG Optimus
First, try this:
From the main home screen, tap menu
Tap Settings, then Privacy
Tap Factory data reset
Tap Reset phone
Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm
If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:
Turn the power off. If your LG Optimus T is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
Hold the Home and Volume Down button
Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device
All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the
LG Optimus T. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its
factory fresh state.
It sounds like the receiver may be locked up. If the buttons on the front do not work, then try unplugging the receiver for 5 seconds and plug back in then check to see if everything is working fine.

Power on.
Press and hold buttons marked 1.
Press and release 2 with stylus.
Release buttons marked 1 when menu comes up.
Press directly down on center dpad, marked 3.
You can also get tips & tricks from www.htcwiki.com It has the latest and great updates, software, even known issues if you ever come across this. HTC does recommend that you do a master/hard reset once a quarter to keep it moving smoothly. Also, ensure you don't have a lot of open running programs. Perhaps once a day, clean the cashe and history. Do a soft reset (aka battery pull) once or twice a week. All depends on how hard you play with this lovely PDA device!
