GENERAL ROUTERS RESETING 1-With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back of the unit labeled Reset.
2-Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.
3-The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.
Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults

SOURCE: wireless connection

What router brand/model do you have. Is it set up to broadcast it's SSID? Has encryption been enabled on the router?

Have you used Device Manager to make sure the new wireless card is operating properly.

I hope you'll answer these questions and let me try to help before you rate this...

1. Step 1 Position your Belkin wireless G router.
Place your wireless G router in a wide open and central location. Don't connect the power plug into the router, yet. Make sure your computer is turned off.

2. Step 2 Connect all the devices.
Find the Ethernet cable that connects your PC to the modem. Unplug the Ethernet cable from your PC and insert it into the wireless G router's WAN port. You should have an additional Ethernet cable that came with your router. Take this cable and plug one end into one of the LAN ports on the router. Then connect the other end to your PC's Ethernet port.

3. Step 3 Turn on your modem, router, and PC.
Plug the power plug adapter into the modem. Turn on the modem. It'll take approximately 30 seconds for the modem to boot up. Connect the power plug adapter to the router and the other end into a power strip or outlet. Like the modem, it'll take about 30 seconds for the router to boot. Turn on your PC.

4. Step 4 Verify lights are on for your devices.
Make sure the following lights are on for your router: power, WAN, and LAN light. If you don't see any of them lit, confirm these devices are turned on. Make sure the Ethernet cable connections are installed correctly.
Step 5 Install and configure software.
Use the setup wizard application to configure your Belkin wireless G router. Set up features, such as creating your password and setting up your time zone. Continue to follow the setup wizard so you can configure ?other settings

I cant get my motorola sb5101 surf board cable modem to connect to a belkin g wireless router. the light on the belkin flashes orange when i try to connect it to the modem but no internet connection

I have a similar problem. The common denominator seems to be the SB5101. I have a brand new Belkin Surf 300N, same issue. The modem will not give DHCP to the router. I can connect fine via ethernet to the modem directly.
This modem seems to be a dinosaur.

PC losing connections (ethernet) with Belkin router

This can be a problem with the firmware of the router, so the first thing that you can do to correct this problem is to do a firmware upgrade on the router and that should correct the problem......

"limited connectivity" message

If it's limited or no connectivity, you might have typed the wireless network key incorrectly. It's case sensitive. If you don't have wireless security enabled, you can simply delete the preferred networks on your wireless connection window then disable any firewall you have like windows firewall, norton, mcaffe, zone alarm and the likes. Also try to change the channel on your router to 11 and that will solve your issue. Restart the computer after that.

Belkin N Modem Router If main PC which is ethernet wired to the modem router is swtiched off, laptops cannot access the internet. Does this mean that the PC to which the modem router is connected has to...

it will as long as the modem/router is connected to a phone line, instead of the pc, the only cable connected to the pc should be a ethernet cable; or you have the pc networking set that it connects via another pc instead of through a gateway, re run the wireless network wizard.
