My other laptop an acer 5051 is not starting up, it tells me that it needs repairing and that I need to remove a recently attached device such as phone or camera driver before it can be fixed but as I can't even get past being told this I have a lap top that needs some help.

To my knowledge the Acer Aspire 5051 takes a SATA HDD, any 2.5" SATA HDD will do, but you will need to install an operating system once you get it. Here is a link to all the new SATA HDDs on ebay:

1st You download Webcam Driver.
Am looking for my acer aspire 5051 in-built webcam
After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

Does your computer have Service Pack 2????
What Blue tooth device are you using???
IS it inbuilt in the computer or a External Dongle???

I will assume it has xp installed, get hold of a xp cd, XP Home or Xp Pro, which ever is installed on your laptop and perform a repqir install. Boot from cd run through setup but after pressing F8 to accept EULA choose to repair windows and use same directory, most programs will continue to work , any docs and system/user profiles will remain intack.

Please connect a usb keyboard at one of the laptop's port. This will most likely (and hopefully) trigger windows installation to use this one.

turn your laptop back there you can notice a closers like ram, hdd and cpu

remove the ram closer there you can see end of the cd drive, Before that screws which is indicate with the cd symbol,(see near the drive tray carefully)

then gently push the cd drive catefully from the back side , under the ram drive

Look on the bottom of your laptop on the side where your cd drive is. There will be a screw that is centered with the cd drive, about 6 inches in. It should have a "lock" symbol next to it. If you take that screw out, the cd drive will be allowed to slide out then. You might need a screw driver to help pry it out though.
