  • unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet
  • hold down the power button for a minute to drain power
  • plug the power cord back in to the wall
  • press # and 3 on the keypad while plugging in the power cord to the back of the printer
  • let go of the keys when the printer starts up

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it did not work. Printer is a few years old, maybe it's time for a new one.

If you fail to detect the fault, it will be best to contact the authorized service center for Sanyo, in this case.

If a warning light indicates the CPU is not functioning, does that mean I have to get a new processor?

Yes! judging by all the cascade break downs, I would suggest replacing the motherboard, HP has a history with motherboard issues.

On My Dv5-1125nr both the caps lock and num lock keeps blinking when i turn it on. It's wont boot at all. What kind of hardware problem is this?

First remove the battery and power cord for about a minute. Then plug back in and see if that helps. Otherwise please read the following:

LEDs near Caps Lock and Number Lock keys blink when starting notebook The LED lights near the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys will blink if an error is detected during the start up process. The LEDs will blink a number of times in a sequence and then stop. The number of blinks in the sequence indicates what component caused an error when it was being tested during start up. If the LEDs stop blinking and the computer does not start, you can press the power button again to repeat the tests. Count the number of blinks, and use the chart to identify the error condition. Knowing the number of blinks is helpful when you contact an HP support agent for technical help. Hi,

The middle blue led is the charging indicator, sounds like you have (at least) a bad battery, remove it, plug in AC and try again, if no good, remove the HD and repeat, if no good, remove/replace the ram and repeat, if still no good, your mainboard is cooked.

Thanks,

Adam.
