I have the parental control on the dsi and forgot my password

Go to parental controls in system settings.
When it asks 'Change Parental Controls settings?' tap yes.
When it brings up a numeric keypad, tap the center button, "I Forgot".
Next, tap "I Forgot" again. Now you will be shown a screen with a number at the bottom (the 'inquiry number').
Go to: http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp
Enter the 'inquiry number' number in the field marked confirmation number. Set the current date in your timezone and click get reset code. And Voila! Your DSi is now parental control free!

If you are talking about the parental control password, (4 digit pin) you will need to say "I forgot" to the questions about the password, and then go on Nintendo's website after it gives you the inquiry key. Enter this key into the box on Nintendo's website and they will give you the master key to your DSi.

1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
2. Select the right arrow twice to reach the third page, then select "Parental Controls."
3. Select "Yes," to change the parental controls.
4. You will be prompted for your 4-digit PIN.
   • If you know the PIN, select the empty text box and enter the PIN using the on-screen keyboard, then select "OK" to continue.
   • If you don't know the PIN, select "I forgot," then select the empty text box for the answer to the secret question and enter it using the on-screen keyboard. Select "OK" to continue.
   • If you don't know either the PIN or the secret question, the Parental Controls will need to be reset. Please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.
5. Select "Clear Settings," then select "Yes" to confirm.

Go into system settings and navigate to parental controls, tap on yes to change parental controls. Where the DSI asks for the password tap on "I forgot", it should then take you to the secret question page. Enter the secret question and you should be able to reset the password. If your son has forgotten his secret question again tap on "i forgot". It will then give you an 8 digit code. Leave it on that screen for the time being. Don't tap OK.
Post that code here and I should be able to provide you with a 5 digit code so you can reset the password and clear the parental settings.
