Vista Drivers I had a perfectly good printer/scanner (HP d125xi), until I moved to a computer with Vista installed upon it. The official HP site suggests to rely upon the Vista drivers - these drivers are able to produce a printer report but, for example, simply print out limitless blank pages when I try and print from excel. Any suggestions other than throw the printer out of the window and start again?

You can download and install by yourself. I recommend you to use driver management program to download and install drivers for HP computer.

you must go back to hp webside support and get the drivers for the scanner.

If you are using Windows Vista OS, then you are not likely to have the scanning feature functional as its version of the machine's drivers does not include scanner. Otherwise you could have succeeded in printer installation. It is recommended to install the drivers without connecting/attaching the device to the system until when prompted incase you want to re-install the software. Good luck

Whether or not to get a Dell or HP is a preference thing. The biggest thing you have to ask yourself is, how much are you wanting to spend on a new system? Both vendors are fairly comparable as far as hardware and support. The biggest thing I should mention is that, ensure that when you buy your system, to tell whomever you are buying it from that you need Windows Vista 32 bit. Not all of your components were compatible with Vista 64 bit.

Scanner is not compatible with Vista...printing only

There is no official driver for mustek 1200 for vista, due to it's age, but you can try installing the one intended for XP from: http://www.mustek.com.tw/Download/driv_scanr/europe/1200ed.html .

As far as I know, you don't need special drivers for HP Deskjet printers in vista, due to system having integrated drivers. Same thing happened to me, only different model.

First, make sure you have the right drivers (and by that I mean 32-bit or 64-bit).

Go to control panel and remove your previous installation; reboot; reload the drivers with your All-In-One UNPLUGGED until they tell you to plug it in.

That was the trick that worked for me. Good Luck.

what happens whenever you are trying to scan.... any error message or any error number?

try scanning from the printer to the computer using the scan to option on the front panel of the printer.

try scanning from hp solution center installed in your computer.

try scanning from mspaint. to do so, open paint and click on "file-->from scanners and camera".

how did you installed the driver. have you got the correct cd to install the printer in windows vista???

if not that may be the problem. the printer can print and copy well as you are having the drivers which will work in win vista. but for the scanning functionality you need to get the cd to install the printer in windows vista. you can download it online.

i've upgraded my vista printer drivers and all and it still doesn't work ont he same model. i used to run this printer on a XP but working on seperate computer can be too crumblesome. since it's a plug and play on vista with this printer.. my solution is go to windows photo gallery. under the FILE - hit import scanner / camera. - it will auto read ur scan feature. but before that. just make sure u install a scanner onto ur windows . by going to control panels and set up scanner. - connect printer to computer first when u do that. it will rauto read ur printer. the drivers just owuldn't work but the windos software helps to elimiinate the problem.
