How do i get the screen filter out of juicer

I had the same problem with my Salton juicer, after making a delicious juice it was almost impossible to remove the auger like many of you, with patience and lots of elbow grease I manage to take apart. Here is my solution to this problem and it works very well for me, its simple, before juicing, disassemble your juicer and add a little oil with your finger on the silicon seal (inside and outside) see picture attached, assemble the juicer.

After juicing, remove the cover, don't try removing the auger, instead grab the basket and wobble it and it should get free, it works for me and it should work for you too. Happy juicing to all!

My jack Lalanne juicer just suddenly stopped working.

Mine stopped working after only a few uses. It turns out that the safety microswitch button wasn't being depressed. The little button on the bottom of the pulp collector had broken off. (Image #1) I put a 1/4 inch piece of a shishkabob skewer in the hole before putting the pulp collector on. (image #2) It works fine now. It's still safe. The motor will not start unless the pulp collector (receptacle) is in place and locked in. Be sure to unplug the machine before doing this. 3717db6c-91bc-41ee-b452-1ed06578f280.jpgjack-lalanne-juicer-just-rgzqoe2q2f3mnxiw25vk3yhi-4-2.jpg

Ican not remove the the basket for cleaning is to hard

You cannot get the basket our for cleaning. Unfortunately there are no instructions or troubleshooting or anything on the manufacturer's website for fixing this..

Here's the problem...There are 3 little captured balls on the basket that engage into holes into the juicer to hold it into place when you load it. The problem is that over time - the balls get juice in them. Then you store the thing with the basket locked into the juicer. Then from sitting in your cupboard - the juice dries and the balls are stuck. When they get very sticky they do not float in their cavity they are stuck. Then after you juice the next time - you cannot get basket off. basket is stuck and you will destroy the juicer if you try to pry it out with excessive force.
If you have this problem and you are lucky enough to be reading this - I have figured out the fix on my own...

You need to fill up a large tupperware, rubbermaid, whatever - bowl about 3 inches deep with hot water. Then take the juicer with the clear cover off and flip it upside down and into the hot water. Make sure the water is covering the entire basket area, but not so deep it goes into the motor area. I let it soak for about 3 hours, but I don't think you will need to do it for that long. When I took it out of the water I was able to pry the basket out with very little force. This is when I discovered this flawed design with the balls.

I used it probably for a year or so about 40 or 50 times without this issue, but let it sit for about 4 months - which is why I believe it caused these balls with juice in them to get so frozen I couldn't remove it.

Good luck. It worked for me.. this should work for you!

The juicer overheated and stopped working

The motor sounds like it overloaded, I doubt it has a thermal cutout fitted (in which case you could leave it off for a while and see if it works) I doubt it has this feature and if it is the motor then the unit should be replaced.

Juicer no longer works !

the motor uses a tiny fuse in the windings and it might be hard to find and rated up to 15 amps... it blows sometimes for no reason and especially on cold starts.
also the on-off switch wears out.. and lastly the ac cord breaks inside from stretching too much.

Champion Juicer stopped working

Hi I had the same problem yesterday and emailed Champion Juicer about the problem here's their reply below, his suggestion worked. Hello Duane, Your machine is equipped with a magnetic start system which will only allow the machine to start when you have the screenholder all the way in place just as you would have it to start juicing. If you do not have any parts on the machine it will not start. Please assemble it again and give it a try. If it still wont start call me at 209-369-2154 for further assistance. Thank you Carl
