This is an error in the setting of your SMTP server. What email provider are you using? (gmail, yahoo, roadrunner, aol, etc)

Keep me posted.

The combination of port 465 and no SSL will never work. You must either enable SSL with port 465, or else try a non-SSL port like 587 or 25. What mail program are you using?

Am unable to send outgoing/incoming yahoo.co.in mails from my samsung gts5253 mobile

you will need to check the WAP and Email setup settings with your service providers, you can also go the the Email setup wizard and enter the following settings.

Yahoo Mail offers standard POP3 access for receiving emails incoming through your Yahoo mailbox, by using your favorite email client software. To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use the following mail server settings:
Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465)
Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995)

I am at present in Belgium, coming from Switzerland, and I am connected with a fixe net line. At the beginning I was able to receive mails but could not send them, now I don t receive neither can I send...

Try to turn off the email scanning of your Antivirus.
You may have to change the email server information over to the one that is in Belgium. Looks like your computer is still trying to use the one from Schweiz.

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error...

You want to use these settings to  configure a mail client for yahoo:

Incoming mail server settings
POP server: plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL
Port: 995

Outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings
SMTP server: plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL
Port: 465 (or 587 if your ISP is blocking 465)

And, of course, you also need to put in:
Username (yahoo login username)
Email Address
Password (yahoo password)

Good luck!

I cannot send email to using yahoo account

You must allow your router access to send out mail. other wise it will keep the messages you send in the outbox. go to your router setup or type your router ip address in the internet browser and manually enable the port 465 you may have to goto applications and games tab if you have a linksys router. Also enable ports 80 for internet,25 for simplemail transport protocol (SMTP),110(e-mail),443secure (bank account information) this will allow the router the proper ablity to send and recieve e-mails.

Hi,
It seems that there is some problem with your settings. Goto account settings-> select the email account -> advanced settings of Outgoing server tab. Removing the check mark present near something like "SSL connection". save it and try again. Also verify other ports and outgoing server address by checking with your email provider.
i hope this is helpful to you

I had been able to send emails, as of yesterday I have not been able to send out emails. says that my smtp is wrong

Some times the internet service providers do subtle changes and change which port the outgoing mail is on.

Contact your isp and see what smtp port e.g. Enter port number “465” in the “Outgoing Server (SMTP) for Yahoo mail
