No cool air is coming out of vents. Checked Filters OK, Cruited breakers OK, vents OK not blocked. Could it be low on freon and compressor froze up and I should wait for ice to melt than possibly get unit recharged with freon?

Yes let the ice melt on the evap coil and the outside line. You either have a low charge or you might check your filter dryer on the outside lines this could be stopped up. you will will have a temp drop across the filter if it is stopped up. If not it is possible to be low on charge. Is the inside fan turning and turning the right direction. If the inside fan is not turning it will cause the evap coil to freeze up.

How to trouble shoot Daewood air conduitioner

clean intake filter. if already cleaned, have system recharged or replace unit. air comes into the unit through the front and out the top vents,, if block or restricted it wont cool. if the air flow is good its how cold the evaporator is. so either freon level is low or compressor is bad.

My A/C isn't blowiing cold air. the fan does work but it only blows air

Needs to be shot off, and cooled. Then it needs to be cleaned. Blow out unit with air compressor if have one, or a can of compressed air. Concentrating on coils, and filters. Point is, when they get dirty, or some time froze up, which is cause from being dirty, they can not breath and get proper air ventilation which cause motor to over work and then compressor will not cool. Use also shop van to really **** up anything air blew around that did not come out. Next step if this does not solve it, after plugging back in, then it is a leak in the freon, or charging of freon needs to be done. Thanks Mike

Unit blows cool air out but doesn't cool room off. the compressor is not coming on. had freon checked ok

I have a question, how was the freon checked if the compressor is not coming on. If the compressor is not coming on, make sure it is received the proper voltage, if it has a capacitor make sure the capacitor is good. Also, how clean are the coils on the unit?

Earlier this week, I noticed that the house felt "stuffy" but the thermostat showed everything to be cooling as expected. Last night, the house was definitely warmer than expected when we got home. My...

If both fans runs (inside and outside), check if the compresor runs , if does probably the unit is low in freon and needs to be recharged after the freon leak has been fixed (remember this is a seal system and it shouldn't leak), but if the compressor doesn't work , it could be the capacitor , the pressure switch (if it's low on freon ) or the compreessor itself. But befor do anything ,if you have a digital thermostat replce the batteries.

1997 GMC Savans 35500, Rear Air only warm air

well what I see you have two problems with you A/C ..1- if the compressor is cycling very fast , the system is probably low in freon , this ban takes like 4lb of freon, now, 2-if we have the right amount of freon and the rear A/C don't work and all the vents are working fine back there for sure the problem is the expansion valve located close to the rear evaporator , that valve get stock open allowing to much refridgerant get in to the evaporator and no cooling at all ,in the back,... you can also have a bad low pressure switch located on the accumulator, making the compressor cycling very fast ..the first you have to do is check the pressures if they are OK , change the low pressure switch..then go to the second problem

2003 COROLLA S AIR CONDITIONER BLOWS HOT AIR.5 DAYS AGO MECHANIC "CLEANED LINES AND PUT IN FREON" FOR $135.00. STILL BLOWING HOT AIR.

If it blew cold air after freon added and 5 days later blew warm, you may have a leak in the system. Also check and see if compressor comes on if not you may have an electrical issue, relay for compressor, coil on compressor, etc.......

2003 bmw 325i a/c front vent

hi gc, if you are getting cold air and warm air out of different vents with the a/c on, I would recommend having the a/c freon checked. if the system is low, it can cause cold air out one side and warm air out the other. if it is low, the system should also be checked for the source of the leak.freon has oil in it that keeps the compressor internally lubricated and when freon leaks out, moisture can get in the system.

Compressor will not start.

Usually short cycling means that High side pressure is getting to high (due to not working condenser fan, or dirty condenser coil), or low side pressure is getting too low (might have low level of freon or restriction in sealed system). low side would drop dramatically if indoor blower is not running, so if air is not circulating thru evaporator coil, coil will freeze up and low side would be much lower then normal. Here is video how I found issue with package AC not coming on. Thermostat call for cool, but condenser would not come on, indoor blower runs ok.

Ac turning on and off

How did they check the freon in the home? You can feel the front(evaporator coil)coil on all four sides. Are you sure the motor is running fast enough? If the four corners do not feel cold in about 5 minutes or so, there is a compressor problem, Capillary tube blockage, moisture in the system or you are low of freon. Good Luck
