I have a Maytag Neptune TL Washer that won't drain. I think the drain pump is clogged. How do I remove/disassemble the cabinet so I can get to the drain pump?

You can place the machine in Service Mode once you have the Service Manual and turn on the drain pump thru console commands.

As I mention in the other post here on FIXYA you can only access the drain pump with the front cover removed.

If you place the machine in a Spin Only cycle will it complete the cycle?

My Maytag washer m.mtw58701tw0 doesn`t drain or spin and I just replaced the motor with a new one. What could be the problem?

If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. My maytag washer model #sav5710aww shakes badly and

if its a neptune front load washer you need new tub lip seal and bearings for the drum as the seal is leaking water into the bearings that hold the inner drum,it will only get worse,you need to remove the inner drumto replace the seals and bearing it takes from 2 to 6 hours depending how hard the old bearings come out of the race

if its a pump id fix it, but if its the bearings then it could get expensive

hi thanks for the question pull the washer away from the wall you will see a small plate at the back remove this plate pump is there in corner held in there with 3 3/8 bolts remove hoses and remove pump you will get some water drain washer first by gravity please accept and positive feed back is nice thanks the appliance doc

www.applianceaid.com/norgewash.html gave us the info on popping the lid to access the screws for removing the front panel. Piece of cake from there...

Easy job... turn the washer away from the wall and take off the small plate at the back, this is the plate pump is there in corner held in there with 3 3/8 bolts. Remove hoses and remove pump, previouslly you will get some water drain washer first by gravity.

Remove the clips holding the pump to the motor shaft. Put your bucket under the pump and take the clamps off the hoses. Pull the pump toward you to remove it from the motor shaft.
