SOURCE: HTC Touch Pro totally dead?!?!

Dear Muppets.

Does no one of you realize that when a phone or some other electrical equipment has serious malfunctions it is often more then just hard reset or softreset.

I have an HTC touch until one day I am sure I dropped it on the floor

Then woowwwww all of a sudden it started acting up.
Be honest.

These are very delicate phones and not bricks.
They are not as simple or reliable as a basic phone due to the fact that they have complicated systems like Windows.

Aynone ever heard of Windows crashing a PC.
Woowww you sound surprised.

I cna easily make a lot of money making somthing that looks fancy but that works like ****.

Think of some ideas.
Windows, HTC phones or similar. Any modern equipment made in China

This dont understand why a phone whic cost tihs much money can't bemade reliable.

Well come to think of it
Selling 1 million+ of them at a few hundred dollars each gives me an idea.

PROFIT ABOVE QUALITY.

And still you fools fall for it.

Yes the phones looks cool.

Any idea why DELL have been so big for so long.
They produce PC's and laptops that still work reliably after 5 years.

I am typing this on a Dell 8600 my business work horse
I use it for webdesign, VB programming, hardware testing

And trow it in my back everyday and in the boot of my car when I don't need it.

And it has never yes NEVER given me idea trouble.

I have tried a few other laptops
FUJITSU SIEMENS TABLE PC
Worked for 3 months then turned off and never came back on
guess what happend to it
It sold it for parts for 100 Euro

Also tried a brand new ACER.
Send it back to supplier as it kept turning of while doing remote access work.

If it aint broke dont fix it.
If it is .................. BIN

Look at hte amount of hours and time you have already spend on trying to figure out why your phone does not come on or work properly.

You would have had a lot more fun with your new Nokia by now

I personally would recommend LG Touch phones.
I now a 19 year old who had it and he threw it all over te place.
NEVER a problem with it and working like new.

Well if you know that LG are working with PHILIPS then you know why they are so reliable.

QUALITY above PROFIT.

and then still plenty of profit to make good money doohh

SOURCE: My battery died so my phone (htc hero) was off for

hello,am sorry that could happen as a result of virus attack on your phone,if care is not taking it might reoccur and could affect even the datas you have on your memory stick.so all i would advice you is to put an anti-virus on your phone so as to prevent it from the virus attack.at times it could also be as a result of jammed application.so i would advice you that whenever you want to open any file make sure you close up one before opening another.
please kindly rate the solution if it's helpful,

take care.

SOURCE: My husband HTC hero turned itself off and won't

Try different chargers if you can, if that doesnt seem to work then you may need to test the battery. A common issue with a phone older than a year is that the charging port will go out through wear and tear. If this is what happened to your husband's hero you may need to take it to a service/repair center from your service provider. The fix is usually about 40$ and will in most cases take only a day.

My HTC mobile phone drains its battery too fast. I have to charge it every hour. This phone is brand new - only five days old.

turn the phone on and let it charge completelty. Then go and shut the phone off. Reboot the phone in CMV which is dos for phones. (you can do this bypushing a combination of buttons usually power, volume down and home check to see what yours is) go through the menus and look for Wipe Battery stats. IF YOU DO NOT SEE IT go back to the main menu and reboot phone. Wait for phone to fully charge again and shut it off. Now while it is off keep plugging the phone in till it says it is fully charged. Then unplug the phone wait ten-15 seconds and plug back in until it reads 100% when you plug your charger in

My HTC Hero will not charge.

HiTry using another charger if not another battery.
And replace it if one of them is not working.
If none of them is having problems.
Take your htc to a service center.
Good luck.

I connect the charger of my htc hero. at first it was charging. after an hour i noticed that it stopped from charging. when i turned on my phone it didn,t open.

Open the back cover , take the battery out . Press and hold the power button without the battery . Put the battery back in . Try to power it on .
If that doesnt work try below steps , ( note : you will loose your data )
Power the device OFF. Press and hold the HOME and Back Arrow buttons. While holding these buttons, press the End Call button once. Release the Home and Back Arrow buttons and press the Trackball to execute the Hard Reset. The device will reboot once the process is complete.
Thumps for my solution if it works .

How can I delete messages from my htc hero phone

1/ Switch off the phone (either removing the battery or shutting down by holding the "end call" button for few seconds
2/ While being switched off, hold the "home" (house) and "back" (the arrow in the lower right corner)
3/ Hit briefly the "end call" button" while still holding the "home" and "back" buttons.
4/ Release the "home" and "back" button, a white screen containing technical information should appear, with a red message asking for hitting the "menu" button.
5/ Hit the "menu button", the Hero will now boot with factory settings.

I just got the htc hero and for some reason it says its charging but the battery never gets charged. once i take it off the charger (be it usb, car, or plug), it immediately tell me the phone is dying. ...

See if there is someone with a Hero and try their battery out. It sounds like your battery is not holding its charge anymore. If you just got it, take it back to the store and see if you can get a replacement.

Good luck.

HTC HERO SMART PHONE

To turn the phone off, you need to first get past the screen lock and get to the phone. Then you need to hold down the red end call button. Hold it down long enough to get a popup menu. The top option is "Power off". Select this and it will ask for a confirmation to shut off the phone.

Good luck.

Phone will not turn on and red led light flashes

Yep. Take a soft cloth and wipe the 5 or 6 battery contacts, CAREFULLY! Dont use water or cleaners. Put battery back in, dont turn on phone, and let it charge until light turns green. Will likely take several hours.

My HTC p3300 battery not gettin charged. It works on direct power for some time and get automatically shutdown after some time..indicating no charge. Keeps shutting down often.

I too have been experiencing problems. Replaced the battery but it happened again. The battery says it is at almost 100% capacity however several times in the day, when I go to turn it on it doesn't respond. I end up taking the battery out and then have to connect it to a charger (USB) so that the charging light blinks red once and then turns off. I can then put in the battery again and it will start up again. If I don't connect it to the charger cable to drain (get the red light to flash once), and try just putting back in the battery, I've noticed that the screen has a faint glow as though it was on but the screen is completely blank. I'm starting to think that there must be a short circuit somewhere because I'm going to assume that the new battery is good.
