I just bought a singer futura ce100. The problem is I don't have the installation cd. How can I get it?

My suggestion for now, have the earlier window version that you have been using for your CE100 also installed in your new computer.

Suggest to also install the earlier windows version that can recognize your CE100 software into your computer.

First, there's a Windows 7 update available atwww.Futura-support.com. Click on the lefthand side, then on CE100/150/250/350,etc, etc. Follow the directions CAREFULLY. First, be sure the uninstall ALLFutura software you've attempted to install and reboot your PC.

This is a bitmore complicated a solution, but if you follow the instructions carefully, youshould be fine. Try the Futura update first, though.

Number 1, go out to the Futura support site at www.Futura-support.com and download the patch for Windows 7. On the left hand side of the screen, click on Downloads, then CE100/150/250/350,etc, etc. Make sure you follow the directions CAREFULLY. Also, be sure to completely UNINSTALL all of the Futura software you've already installed and reboot your computer before starting all of the instructions.

If this gives you any problems, I've posted a solution under the CE100 solutions area for running your machine with Windows Vista/7 using a virtual machine program. It's a lot more steps than using the patch, but some people do still need to go this route. Look for it on the CE100 Solutions/Problems home page. Still, you should be fine just with the patch.

Basically, it allows you to run any XP program on Windows Vista or 7 using your old XP software. The Futura patch works for most people, though, so you will hopefully not have to go that route.

Yes, it can be installed on Windows 7. Check the Futura support sight at www.Futura-support.com and look on the right hand side under downloads. There's a download listed for CE150/250/350, etc, that applies to XP 32 & 64 bit, Vista and Windows 7 32 & 64 bit. Follow the directions CAREFULLY! If this doesn't work for you, I've posted a set of instructions under CE100 solutions for running the CE100 software on Windows Vista/7 by installing a Virtual Machine software on Windows 7 that works regardless of the situation.

The update should work for you perfectly, however. Just make sure you uninstall the Futura software and reboot your machine BEFORE you do anything else and follow the instructions from the website carefully! Good luck!

You may ask your Singer supplier about Futura 2.5, this version of the software supports old machine models ce100/200, contains more features like the software for newer machine models and works under new OS including Windows 7.

No, there isn't a way without the CD. And, unfortunately, the only place I found after searching and searching months ago was to go back to Singer itself and pay for a new CD. The cost was $100 as of January, 2011. It doesn't do any good to copy someone's CD or for someone to get it to the internet for you to download, because when you go to install the software the program asks for you to put the CD in the drive, and the program knows to look for an original CD.

I received an email back from Singer stating that it is not possible at this time to load the Futura software on a 64-bit system using Vista. I have emailed to ask whether it would load if the OS were XP, but I haven't heard back yet.

They said that they were working on finding a fix for this, but they aren't sure that they will since it's a hardware problem.
