You must use the factory remote. Mutlibrand will not work for this option. No matter the universal remote, you need the original. No other way to do this.

You are asking about the input selection of the tV, by using a RCA universal remote I assumes and posts this solution. All setup codes fro a tV with remote control might not work with all functions as it meant to be. Try an other setup code fro your TV with your remote. There is no other way than this. Universal remote codes for Sylvania TV are:

FPA locks the front buttons so children can not access programs without the remote. Use the remote to access the main menu then parental controls. On some models you might have to select special or chanell menu first. If FPA is on it will ask for a password. Turn off parental controls and all should work. Try these directions, they *should* work.

1. Insert a DVD Movie into the PlayStation®2.
2. You should receive a message informing you that the Parental Level has been set, and asking if you?"d like to allow the disc to play. Highlight "Yes" and then press the X button.

Don't know that you can do it with universal remote. to release channel lock on previously locked channels or inputs, 1 press the menu button 2 press 5 3 press 2 (4) the display then askes for I.D> number (5) press 9 and quick view at the same time, this turns channel lock feature off.

I'll give you the master reset, with set on, and from the remote hit Menu-1-2-7-0 this will bring up the Intilize screen and the word Initlize should be highlighted, if it is hit enter on the remote, this is the factory default settings so now if the set ask for a parental code it will be 0000
