SOURCE: sidekick 3 wont charge

There might be something wrong with the charger or you can use a different outlet.
But if there is something wrong with the charger i would suggest to get a new one (:

Download from lg800g to computer

Is your Micro USB cable a "B" or "A"?Micro USB "B" is for data/charging.
Micro USB "A" is for charging only and will not work for any kind of data transfer (pins not connected).
The connector will be labeled at the micro usb end.
When you plug the cable into your phone a popup will ask you if you want to connect to mass storage. Once you answer yes, you can connect to the phone just like a usb drive.

How do I charge my Verizon Motorola Droid using the USB cable and my computer. I've plugged it into my computer, but it doesn't show that it's charging.

Hi,
Plugging it into your computer should be no different then using a charger...it still uses the USB cable.

Here are a few things to check...

do not try a USB port that is off your keyborad or anything that does not come straight off of the motherboard...the phone pulls too much power and it will not work...

Try a different USB cable... some will not allow charging but will still tranfer data...

Also check and see if it asks you to install drivers for your phone...if it does, you will need to have them installed to charge the phone...

My best guess is that you need a different cable...

When i connect my phone by usb with my comp,on my phone screen comes a message 'charger not supported'..so i can't transfer any data..

Hello,

This could be a problem with the cable, or the phone itself. You can try a new cable or charger. I would also recommend you speak with the company you made the phone or visit a local phone store to have it serviced and repaired.

Every time i try to hook my lg 290c up to my computer it makes the "failure to connect" sound. it dosent even show up in my computer. what do i do to access it?

I am glad to HELP YOU!

You're right, some of the LG 290 users reported that even using the right USB data transfer cable the computer ALWAYS searched for the right driver to establish the connection but never succeeded.
As in your case - it was about a missing driver.
But now I will show you a LITTLE-BIG SECRET about the data transfer via Bluetooth. Sure, I know - the LG 290 doesn't allow such operation via Bluetooth.
But this is how I mad it possible:
# go to MENU > SETTINGS > BLUETOOTH > POWER > OFF > OK
# press END now
# you're on the MAIN SCREEN; dial ##7764726290 and SEND
# enter 000000 > OK
# go on BLUETOOTH SETTINGS > OK
# if the server [FTP] is underlined/highlighted > OK
# YES > OK
# ON > OK
So from now on you will be able to transfer data to/from PC via Bluetooth by using Bluesoleil application.
I've found this trick quite a while ago on howardforums.com [... if I'm not wrong].

GOOD LUCK!
... and don't forget to RATE, please...

Nigel,

It seems that the firmware of the phone has got corrupted. Do the following:

1. Fully charge the battery and connect to a computer via the USB cable.

2. Fire up the Nokia PC Suite.

3. From the PC Suite, backup the data.

4. From the PC Suite, update the firmware.

5. From the PC Suite, restore the data.

Live happily everafter.

Dead Phone?

The D-wade sidekick 3 uses a charging port. You should see a little round plug in on one end of the phone. you will need to get a charger from eBay. They are about 3-5 dollars shipped.

The usb cable is only used for transferring data, no charge capability exists for it

Connecting analong camcorder to computer

The only Analog camcorder that has a USB Connection for transferring pictures or video is the SC-L770. The SC-L770 can transfer video (live or recorded) and still photos through the USB connection. You can also transfer audio using the audio cable provided. After installing the driver and software, you can begin transferring data using the software provided. Connecting to a PC 1. Connect a USB cable to the USB port on the PC. 2. Connect the other end of the USB cable into the proper terminal on the camcorder. (USB jack) 3. Connect the audio cable to the Line input jack of the PC. If the PC has no Line input jack, connect the audio cable to the MIC input jack. In this case, however, a noise may be produced depending on the PC. Notes: * If you disconnect the USB cable from the PC or the camcorder while transferring, the data transmission will stop and the data may be damaged. * If you connect the USB cable to a PC via a USB HUB or simultaneously connect the USB cable along with other USB devices, the camcorder may not work properly. * In this case, remove the other USB devices from the PC and reconnect the camcorder. Some other Analog Camcorders have a snapshot mode which allows you to take a still photo with your camcorder. However, you cannot transfer these to a computer unless you purchase additional hardware such as a capture card. Some capture cards have analog a/v inputs which will allow you to use the a/v outputs on the camcorder to connect to your pc and transfer images and video. You can purchase a capture card at most computer and electronics stores. Samsung does not support capture cards.
