There are many reasons why a dehumidifier will not work or collect water.

Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier

All new generation dehumidifiers are designed to have the fans run all the time and the compressor comes on when the relitive humidity rises above the setting that you have chosen. I spoke with the company and asked them why this is so, and they told me that it is more energy efficient to have the machine on all the time so that when the compressor kicks in there is a small draw on electricity.
Apparently when the old dehumidifiers came on it was the compressor that turned on immediately, and the fan, and this caused a very high current draw. The new design has the fan on all the time and this helps to circulate the air evenly around the area being dehumidified - thus more efficient overall coverage.
I understood their explanation, but still do not like this new method of operation.

If the surrounding temperature is low enough the condensing elements of a dehumidifier ice up just like the cooling plates in a frig. Either reduce the power or raise the surrounding air temperature.

The error is an indication of an Indoor Air Sensor malfunction according to the manual.

That part you identified is the compressor of the dehumidifier. Compressor is probably bad or going bad. When compressor go bad the valves start making noise and they lose alot of there efficiency.

This unit is designed with the intention of the fan running all the time. The compressor cycles on and off with demand, however the fan runs continuously to provide constant room circulation.

1- check if the water collecting bucket is properly installed (the light will show is ON but if the bucket is not propely installed -pushed in the proper position ) -make sure the slots on the bottom of the dehumidifier are posisioned correctly.
