Paper wont feed, rollers moving at bottom noisy clicks but wont feed. Removed rear cover to check for paper but nothing. Removed paper tray reloaded, same problem.
I'm not sure if you've already checked this, but this was my issue. I, too, would try to print something and it would make a great deal of clunking noise but would then say that there was no paper and told me to load some. I went to the Canon site and before I actually went through the process of cleaning the print roller, I checked the feed switch button on the display panel. It's right below the ON/OFF button and, what do you know, it was set to feed from a paper cassette instead of the back loading tray. I pushed the button and it's now printing fine. I'm sure we must have accidentally hit the button when we were trying to turn the printer on or off quickly. Hope this does the trick! It's always nice when it's something easily fixed!
raindncr97, I don't know who you are, but thank you. I've been trying to work out why my auto-print feeder is broken and you're spot on. I had accidentally pressed the manual/auto feed selector button. I didn't even know that button was there or what it did till you pointed it out. The on-screen message is completely inadequate. Thank you.

I will keep raindncr97 in my troubleshooting files. After 1 hour of searching all over the place I decided to read the FixYa! section and, again, his solution solved my problem.
Thanks-a-bunch!
Just like raindncr97 states for the cassete error "no paper" I press the feed switch and now my printer works fine thanks raindncr97."verynice solution"

My printer is not set up as "wireless". The setup disc supplied with it is unreadable and I cannot access the wizard to guide me through changing the default paper-feed to load from rear tray.
