When I hot sync, the data goes from outlook to my Palm just fine. However, when I enter data into my Palm and perform hot sync, the data does not go from the Palm to outlook. I have downloaded and ran the DB scan. It did not work. I am still getting the following error: HotSync operation started Outlook Notes - Fast Sync OK Outlook Notes Outlook Calendar OLERR:03-0032 (0xb5704005) OLERR:03-000E OLERR:0D-000E OLERR:0D-0004 OLERR:0D-0001 - Recovery Sync Outlook Calendar synchronization failed OLERR:15-0002 OLERR:06-0001 Outlook Contacts - Fast Sync OK Outlook Contacts Outlook Tasks - Fast Sync OK Outlook Tasks OK Expense OK Note Pad OK Quick Install -- Backing up db psysLaunchDB to file C:\Palm\MontgoT\Backup\psysLaunchDB.PDB -- Backing up db Saved Preferences to file C:\Palm\MontgoT\Backup\Saved_Preferences.PRC OK System HotSync operation complete

Tungsten E - HotSync with Outlook 2003

Don't skip the initial HotSync for secondary computer! Alright, I figured this one out on my own and figured I'd post what I'd learned so that others don't have to endure the teeth mashing, hair pulling, snarling frustration. (self induced as it may be) My experiences have taught me to not always trust a cookie cutter installation wizard...especially for custom app installations (ie: primary = home, secondary=work, total sync, no priority). So, I did not perform the initial sync during installation of the palm software fearing that the new installation would NOT recognize that the work computer was a secondary machine and resultantly wipe out the old palm data from the primary machine. Turns out, as I saw in many other unrelated posts, that it's difficult (if not impossible) to specify conduit direction to outlook 2003 outside of the initial sync (this prompted me to specifically look for conduit direction during install). So, this wizard is one I should have trusted...by mistake...because of weak program design. By the way...once I specified sync with outlook during the initial sync, EVERYTHING works fine despite not having installed the two "imperative" conduit updates (they were uninstalled after several previous failed attempts at this). Hope this helps

Outlook not synching

This is how I got it working. Don't use wireless sync software, someting is definitely buggy with it. Here is what I did to resolve sync errors: 1. Perform a hard reset on the Palm 2. Go to the Palmone folder on your hard drive (C:\Program Files|PalmOne. Look for the Backup folder. Rename this folder Backup Old. 3. Connect the Treo to your computer. 4. Right click the Hotsync icon in the taskbar and click Custom. Change the four Outlook conduits (Calendar, Contacts,Tasks,Memos) to Desktop overwrites Handheld. 5. Run a Hotsync with the Treo. It should sync without errors. If you need to install additional applications you can add them now

Hot sync does not work

"PLEASE SET SYNCHRONIZATION OPTION ENABLE SYNC WHEN OUTLOOK IN UI IN ORDER TO SYNC IN OFFLINE MODE" Just go to your Hotsync Manager icon Click Custom Click each Outlook conduit ex. Calendar Outlook Click Change Click Settings Check the Box that says Enable Synchronization when Outlook is Offline Then do same process for Contacts, Tasks and Memos. Wherever your updated data is..make sure you set Action of conduit to example: Desktop Overwrites HH (if your OUTLOOK has the most updated data.) Hope that resolves your problem.

Cannot SYNC Outlook Calendar and Contacts

Probably one of these issues - your data is there but you are looking in the wrong place. I am trying to sync my outlook calendar and contacts via Hotsync on a Palm IIIc. It gives me the status of OK, but nothing shows up on the Palm. I have set the custom on Hotsync to desktop overwrites handheld, but still will not work. Thanks.

How to change the default handler from Outlook to Palm desktop?

Change sync methods from outlook to palm desktop !!!!! Hi, There are two ways to change the sync methods : 1. Insert the installiation disc into the cd rom device , u will get a window called dicover ur handheld , there please check for change ur sync methods , and u will get another window sayin ur currently using microsoft outlook to sync , would u like to change to palm desktop , say yes and then u will get congrats , click on finish . To make sure it is changed from outlook to palm desktop , right click on hotsync manager at the bottom right corner of the pc , make sure only local usb has a check mark and then left click on custom , in custom check and see if u see calender [outlook] or just calender , if u just see calender , then presuming all the data is in handheld , highlight calender click on change and change the action to handheld overwrites desktop then click on ok , do the same for contact , tasks and memo then click on done and perform a hotsync. 2. Insert the disc , open up my computer , then u will see ur cd rom drive , right click on it and left click on explore , u will find yellow folders , please check for a yellow folder called post install , open that up and inside that u will find outlook switcher , left double click on it and follow the same procedure as told in the first step . Won't sync to clean Palm

It may be due to a permissions issue on the workstation running the hot sync program

Sync fails with "too many open databases"

This is what I did to fix that error:

Hard-reset your Palm to erase all data (that usually involves pushing the small "reset" button on the back, then pressing the "power on" button until the device boots, and then pressing "up" to confirm the hard-reset)

After that, sync your palm. The sync software will ask if you want to use your existing profile or create a new one. Create a new one. Then the program will offer to sync your Outlook profile with your Palm. Click on "ok", and a message asking you to accept to sync your Outlook data with more than one profile will pop-up. Click on OK, again... and that's it!
