My ice maker is not working but the water dispenser on the door is working fine. I too have water in the bottom of the freezer which also drips out onto the floor from the front of the freezer door. I have tried shutting off the freezer and allowing it to de-frost but this has not solved the problem.

Water is leaking from the inside and running to the bottom of the freezer and out onto the floor. What is wrong with the unit?

The drain is plugged just below the coils in the back of the freezer. My fridge had the same problem and I found the hose (which can be accessed from the rear bottom) was plugged with mold. Also, i noticed the hose was connected to the water holding pan and was too close to the bottom and easy to plug. I removed it from the connector and just let it dangle in the holding pan.

Leaking water on floor

Remove contents from bottom of freezer. Turn ref/freezer off. Use the handle end of a screwdriver and carefully break up the ice build up from the bottom of the freezer. Find the condensate drain and remove ice build up. Find the condensate drain and remove ice or any kind of restriction from the drain line.
Or you can turn the refrigerator off for a day , mop up the water and blow out the condensate drain

Water leaking into bottom of refrigerator section

Make sure you dry everything in the freezer when you have the door open and remove ice. It won't be a leak it will simply be the warm air inside the freezer that has turned into condensation. Double check the seal around the door to see if it curled up as that could be letting warm in and cold out giving same results.

Water pools at bottom of freezer, freezes and water leaks out

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove bottom shelf from fridge and remove the styrofoam..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Freezer leaking water

My Whirlpool has been filling the bottom under the crispers with water and leaking out the vents (?) from the freezer down into the fridge compartment. I finally caught it today being rather loud, probably in a defrost cycle, and it was positively POURING in the fridge. After some more research on this site I removed the freezer bottom tray (1/4" ratchet needed) and found a layer of 1/2" thick ice under the tray. My guess is the drain hole iced up. Removed all the ice from under the tray and on the metal drain run in the back (danger, seemed sharp) and put it all back together. I didn't try to pour hot water down the drain yet, thinking positive thoughts that the drain itself isn't iced all the way to the tray near the floor. Will watch it carefully.

Side by side leaks out front door on freezer side

try checking the tube that water drains out , it could be plugged with crumbs or old partials of food and causing the problem, This has happened with my fridge at one time , affecting the defrost cycle of the freezer and dripping water out of the door, The tube was located under the crisper in the back of the inside of my fridge, Hope this solves your problem

The icemaker leaks water from the fill tube into the fridge

my suggestion is to start from the beginning! shut down the fridge for a couple of days store food somewhere else (obviously and see if you get much water at bottom. have mos and bucket nearby. blow into any hoses that are accessible. unplug fridge of course.

Freezer leaking water

sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over
