Avaya Corded Phone avaparp18d Logo

Our caller ID for our Avaya Partner 18D used to work. Then I programmed the phones to make it so that you could hear the dialtone whenever you pick up the phone to make a call. I also changed the names on each extension and now our caller ID does not work. What steps do I need to do to fix it? When I press feature 59, PACS R7.0 91E comes up

Right when you re-setup the extensions and changed the names that wiped out the existing data related to the extensions and the caller ID. You will need to do it all again, to do this you will need a manual to follow to program this. Whenever one alters a setting another function maybe altered too, so it always pays to check, that whenever one changes anything one MUST test each and every function again after doing so, to ensure nothing else has been affected by what has been done.

Above are all the relevant data you need to perform this.
It is better to follow clearly defined steps in the manuals than to re-outline it all in a post here.. so have a look in the manual and follow the steps and re-do all the Caller ID and settings again.

Can we have caller ID on the 3158-05

The Avaya 3158-05 does not have a display. It can't show the Caller ID information from the telephone provider. The Avaya 3158-07 PARTNER 18D or the 34D will display Caller ID information if your system is connected to a telephone line. (One of these modules: 206EC, 308EC, or 400EC, is required. If you have a T1 line, you can't get Caller ID.)

I hope this helps.

Phone static on the partner 18d

Is it on the same line? What about when you call other extensions, is there static?

If it is a line, swap that line and another. If you have static on the same line port, then it is a port problem of the system. If it follows the dialtone, the line from the phone company is the problem.

HOW TO GET CALLER FOR MY PARTNER 18 D PHONE

Please press "Feature 59" on a display phone. That will tell us the release of the phone system. Your system may not be caller ID capable. The reason you are getting caller id on your cell, when the phones are forwarded is because you are paying for caller ID on your cell phone....and your cell phone is caller ID capable.

Caller ID

There's a whole sequence of CID associations that need to be done to make CID work the way you want it. It requires an 18 or 34 D, and you start turning on system programs 317, 318, 319 and program a Feature 23 button to the phone that logs all calls.

A linkable PDF is available here. Start at section 4-10 and use the blue links to understand the programming. Full step-by-step instructions are beyond the scope of a free forum.
