Is the camera compatible with SDHC? If it can only handle SD memory cards this card is not readable in the device. It will show on the camera whether it is compatible with SDHC. If it doesn't have the logo, take it as the card won't work and you'll need to get a normal SD card.

There is a theoretical maximum of 2GB for SD memory cards, SDHC start at 4GB and go up to 32GB.

Simply put, if your camera is quite old, it won't support SDHC and therefore is limited to a maximum of 2GB memory card.

Not formatted ,copy from my microsd 4gb claas 2 memory card, also after some tym of insertion the memory card is not showing

It would be helpful to know what device you're talking about, what operating system and what your problem is. All I can say at this point, is to remove the memory card and reinsert it and see if it shows up them.

Forgot my memory card pasword

To format your SD card you need the following SD card, SD memory card adapter, SD card reader on your P.C. first insert the memory card into card adapter, insert the adapter into the P.C, click start>my computer> Secure Digital (SD) card and then navigate into the folder named system folder, open the sub-folder MMCstore and you should be able to see your password and recover it, If you want to reset your password you should just format SD card by clicking start> right click on my computer and select manage> Disk management > go to your SD card, right click on it and select format and then start format.

I just bought a SanDisk 4GB microSDHC memory card and adapter. I saved my photos from my LG XENON phone to this microSDHC card but can not download them. I have a mac desktop computer running Mac OS X...

You must use a SDHC compatible reader/writer, please check if the readers of your Mac and printer can handle this kind of SD, if they don't, you could use a USB SDHC compatible reader.

Have purcahsed a SanDisk microSDHC Card to store pictures from LG Env 3 Mobile phone. Unable to transfer to PC using Adapter

Thank you for your question.

The first thought that comes to mind, possibly the SD card needs to be formatted to accept information. Check that the SD card is recognised in "My Computer or Windows Explorer", if it is, then right click, select Format Disk, then format as "FAT32" (or "NTFS" if available).

Kind regards

4GB microSDHC Memory Card: i bought a microSDHC card and my phone says format...

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Scandisk memory card keeps saying error

Some cameras will not work with the larger flash cards. Also the SDHC requires an adapter that accepts the high density. Many built into the computers do not accept the high density and will demand they be formatted. Verify the requirements of the devices you have for compatibility.

I bought a 4gb Sanadisk microSDHC card for my Sansa c250 and Media player is not reading the card?

You must find the Sansa c250 menu that allows you to format the microSDHC card for use with media player.  Most microSDHC  cards are shipped unformatted.  It is a new technology and there is no standard format for microSDHC cards as they are used to store many types of data.  My cell phone uses one to store music, video, and photos, so the phone's manufacturer included a format command choice in the appropriate "phone memory" menu.  Look for the microSDHC card in a "memory" menu. Follow the prompts to format the card.  This only works on a NEW card.  If you format a used card, ALL data will be lost.  Formatting a card or a hard disk effectively prepares the memory to be written on, erasing any data previously written on it.
