I have an Optimus STA-3500 Digital Synthesized AM/FM Stereo Receiver. If I buy an i-pod is there a place on the back of the receiver that it can be plugged into? If so, what kind of i-pod wire/cable would go from the i-pod to the back of the receiver? Thanks.

Optimus STA-3500, display is so dim you can't read it without a magnifying glass. No "dimmer" adjustment visible unless there is a special code........?

The manual might have the code to adjust the display screen optimus sta-3500 manual on google and on the companies official website too.Or call or email customer service then.

Optimus STAV-3260 Digital Synthesized A/V Surround Receiver. this receiver has no power,not even a light for the standby.i already checked the fuse and its ok.

Could be several causes. Bad connection near the stand-by power transformer or the transformer itself could be open. The main Micro could be bad. This is a job best left to a servicer. Optimus was sold only by Radio Shack, they still do repairs.

It won't have "iPod" functionality but it can be played through the receiver.

Any audio device that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except one labeled "PHONO"). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT one labeled "Phono".
