My fridge freezer keeps clicking and the water spurts out in pulses from the water dispenser i have read on another forum that its the circuit boards
Hi, this problem IS caused by components that have failed in the rear module! Fact!
There are a few people that sell the kits to repair them on a big auction site.
Hope this helps

OK, we'll try this again. If it is whirlpool SxS - Where is the clickikn coming from, the dispenser or is it from the rear of the unit? Is the water coming out when you push the lever for water or is it constant? Also, once again how old is the unit? And see if you can get the full model number- it usually starts with several letters then a couple of numbers and then more letters.
The clicking you hear may be the water valve and may cause the water to spurt. The other possibility is the saddle vale which is on your house plunbing is getting blocked and needs to be replaced . Also does this unit have a filter? It could be getting blocked.

it is a whirlpool side by side fridge and freezer the serial number is S20BRWW20 A/G there are also 2 service numbers 858615215010 and 110329000348
I have a Whirlpool 20RB D4 Fridge Freezer with exactly the same problem.
It started dispensing water in bursts accompanied by the sound of the pump clicking off and on. If you power the whole F/F of and straight back on again it works for a while. The fault has now expanded to the F/F clicking for about 1 min usually after one of the doors has been opened.
If you open one the doors while it is clicking then the clicking stops. With the door still open you can press the switch which operates when the door is closed and the clicking starts again. Anyone any ideas ?
It would be better to have morre information on this such as is it a refriferator or is it a full freezer unit. What make is it and how old and if it is a sise by side if ref. Some units, particuarly Maytag have bad boards on them, the maytag usually is the main control board on the back of the unit. if a frigidaire then most likely the dispenser boards.
