Is the same thing happening to the freezer? There may be a vacuum being created like a suction cup, in your fridge due to the high quality seal you have... your door becomes hard to open... maybe try closing it slower/softer or place a "small" flat fridge magnet on the TOP of the door where the seal meets it, to allow for a small amount of air to prevent the suction. Good luck!

Frigidaire refrigerator beeps every 20 seconds or so. three beeps.

try opening the door.leave it open.unplug the fridge for at least 5 minutes, no less, with the door still open.after that, plug it back in.wait for it to beep.then close the door.
this would reset the door alarm, which beepes when the door isn't properly closed.
also you should wait 24 hours between changing the temperature or it can mess up your fridge.!

Lights in my kenmore refrigerator, freezer on bottom, burned out. I purchased two 60w bulbs and replaced them. I plugged in the refrigerator and the lights were on. Then a couple of minutes later,

Hello Sharon;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You can not put normal house hold appliance bulbs in appliances. There are special bulbs for refrigerators, clothes dryers and close washers.

The bulbs are usually available in the local market and marked; "Refrigerator" and Freezer".

You may have a bad door switch. But, I am more prone to go with the wrong service bulb.

Peter, Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Problem with refrigearator door.Afer opening it,I can not open again resently. I must wait 4-5 minutes to poen the door again. Can you help me ?

If the humidity is high in your area, the humidity you let in the fridge condenses when you close the door and this makes a partial vacuum in the fridge. This vacuum makes it hard to open the door. After a few minutes, the vacuum leaks and pressure inside the fridge goes up and the door is easier to open. This is normal and no rep are is needed. Just pull harder or wait a few minutes to open. If you really are not able to open it and you need to open frequently while cooking, pull the vegetable drawer out a little to prevent the door from closing all the way and sealing. Make sure you close the drawer and door after cooking or you will have a big electric bill. Another option is to slide a spatula along the gasket to allow air int the fridge when you need to open it.

The printer says that the door is ipne, and will not print but it is completly closed.

In that case the sensor on the door is most likely faulty . Try to reset it by opening the door, close the printer, open it again, close the door and wait 1 minute then close the printer again; unplug it from the wall for 15 minutes and start it up. If the problem is still there you will have to dismantle the printer to access the sensor for testing.

Fridge and freezer not cooling. The fan is running

Is the compressor clicking? If so, the pressure may be too high. tHis happens if the temperature control is lowered too soon after the compressor cuts off, or if house power fails for a shorrt period, etc.

1. UNPLUG the power cord.
2. Set the temperature dial to the settings you want.
3. Close doors and wait a full 10 minutes (more if you don't get impatient).
4. After 10 full minutes, plug power cord back in. It should start now.
5. Try not to open fridge for an hour or so, or until you hear tyhe compressor cycle off.

Hope this hellps!

It is a side-by-side, and difficult to open the doors, esp. the refrig. side after having opened and closed the freezer door.

Hi, this problem are what we called, vacuum (air) lock, it's not a problem, it means that your door are sealing properly, you should wait 2-4 mins, before opening, doors will open normally, if you give it 2-4 mins, if you try to open door immediately after closing, you will get that sort of vacuum lock, what you could do when it's lock, push something flat between door gasket and ref. body, try not to break gasket, you will hear air releasing, wait few seconds and door will open easily. it.s quite normally for ref. door to air lock, especially when you try to re-enter ref. immediately after closing. it will go away after a while, good luck.

My refrigerator door is unusually hard to open, I

If you open the door and then close it then open it again is difficult normal this happens espeacilly in big volume refrigerators and freezers. You should wait for sometime to open it again as it needs some time to balance the pressure.Warm air goes inside and cools down so the pressure is decreasing. If there is a pressure balance valve installed at the door check it if it funcitons.
